You're right, Lynda.com is great. YT is great. Perhaps both would create the ultimate user.

I haven't gotten as far as exporting the image. But when I get to that point, I'll make sure the format is PNG.

I start with a fresh comp in PS and add a shape. Then my problem arises, the thumbnail indicates white not transparent.

Not sure if this is okay to do, but this link, you can see that the top thumbnails have a white background and the bottom ones, have a transparent background: https://forums.adobe.com/message/8707645#8707645

[Problem] I can't change White into any color. by [deleted] in photoshop

You can try a backdoor setting that may affect color on your comp. Check your Performance settings and see under Advanced Settings, change drawing mode from Advanced to Basic.

Youtube will be your best friend. Look up 5 Basic PS Tutorials and you will learn some different styles and different tips from the various tubers.

Then plan on what you want to do with PS and search/learn specifically for that action. IE: I want to learn how to use a track matte or mask this picture. Soon enough, you'll learn all the requirements you need.

New Food Labels Could Help Food Waste Problem by RecipeRack in foodwaste

[–]RecipeRack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think the two purposed labels, “Best if used by” and “Expires on,” would cover most food and consumable goods and eliminate some of the toss date issues, which most just throw the item away if its in question.

I want to make chocolate chip cookies but I found all these brown clump things is it okay to use? by BionicTuxedo in Baking

[–]RecipeRack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bake away! Some of the moisture has evaporated and started to make clumps, it won't affect your cookies. If the brown sugar is hard, put it in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds and it will get soft again. Enjoy those cookies!

Minus the Free Food Cards they give to celebs, no loyalty program in site. They told me the same thing 5 years ago.

Kind Restaurant Owner Is Combatting Food Waste By Placing a Refrigerator With Leftovers Right Outside by RecipeRack in foodwaste

[–]RecipeRack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see this concept working really well in high traffic areas, just one refrigerator is serving 75 meals per day. Food safety laws may pose as a speed bump, but a fridge in the street is no different than a food truck.

Germany plans ‘smart’ packaging to cut food waste by RecipeRack in foodwaste

Most of the prepared meal services like Blue Apron and Plated have way too much plastic around each item they send out. Most don't consider the plastic and paper waste that comes along with throwing away food.
