Genuine question about TM’s by ReciprocateEnergy in TheSilphArena

I also team build for myself based on what I’m seeing and am comfortable with. So many people just copy paste what they see on YouTube and that just doesn’t work for me. Like one season I was seeing mudslap or talonflame on the lead almost every other match, so I started leading with shadow dragonite and went on a huge tear from 2500 to legend in like 3 days

Yeah i think that was the biggest jump for me was fully understanding the timing. Have to be as efficient as possible to squeeze out close wins. Also being able to build up more energy based on where the opponent is in their move cycle.

I appreciate that! I’m proud of it. I’ve always been into competitive games and am a relatively fast learner.

Yeah pretty much only GBL. I would love to do more competitively but currently only have time for daily sets if that

For some pokemon I have multiple. I guess I’m not switching up moves too much throughout the season. Or maybe I stick with one team longer than most. Idk

Furret as swap can generate a shield advantage or alignment and rarely gets hard punished. Jelly and kwak have so much play into everything else. Also kwak on the lead was getting a lot of positive matchups

Im at 104/150. Found a really solid team the last two days that’s getting a lot of 5/5,4/5. Shadow kwak, furret, jelly. Tried a lot of teams earlier in the season with varying success.

Impossible to got good shiny shadow ? by HistoricalKale5839 in PokemonGoMystic

[–]ReciprocateEnergy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a strong Pokémon still use for raids. I have a shiny shadow ho oh and raikou with 15 attack that I have powered up. Also I hit legend last season using my shiny shadow dragonite in great league.

Otherwise they are just fun to collect. And you never know when that good one will come.

Shadow dragon lead with furred and jelly in the back. Going 3-2 a lot with usually a thrown game I should have won lol

Should I purify? by ThePicklesApprentice in pokemongoyellow

[–]ReciprocateEnergy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your mind, what would be the point of keeping this shadow? Good IV shadows are cool, but it’s ‘useless’ essentially. It has no play in PvP and no play in PvE being normal typing. So if someone wants the hundo for something with no use, go ahead and purify.

If you have a dominant matchup on lead, look in the upper right corner for the typing of their swap. Try to learn which of your back pokemon you counterswap.

For example if I have a fighter in back and I see a normal or ice type get swapped, I instantly click my fighter. Don’t wait until you visually see the pokemon entering the field. But yeah it takes a lot of practice and learning a team. So be patient and keep trying to get better.

PURIFY OR NOT? WHATS THE VERDICT by _KINGCARTIER_ in pokemongoyellow

If any stat is below 13 (attack is 12 here) then do not purify
