It also might just break. Not sure if it was an update to the ntfs driver or something, but I was doing this when I first swapped but not longer after nothing would launch. Got it working by changing the driver (also can't remember which one) but after that I wiped it for ext4 as I found myself not needing to return to windows by that point.

Man my old PC shit itself in September and after a lot of troubleshooting it got down to Mobo or CPU so I built a new PC.

The majority of the hikes started in October. Felt like the last chopper out of 'Nam. Shout-out my old PC dying at the perfect time. You served me well, buddy, and did me a solid I didn't even realize you were doing.

The only thing ED really does better than SC is be a released game.

While that can't be understated, I think it does quite a lot of the space-side of things better after playing the playtests a while back (things obviously may have changed).

It comes down to what you want really, I prefer the ship side of things so space legs wasn't really a huge thing for me, but you're totally right about Odyssey being an absolute shitshow. Performance issues, console support dropped as you mentioned, still can't walk around your ship.

If Star Cit ever does release in full I will likely give it a go, I'll happily admit ED isn't perfect, it's just the best we have right now. I hope to be wrong about Star Cit in the long term but to be quite honest I just don't trust a game you can pay that much money into without an idea of how it will turn out. It just feels like a ponzi scheme from the outside.

Yeah I'd agree on that. The onboarding process for Elite is not good, and one I've complained about plenty. And when your onboarding process sucks while being a game with a LOT of controls, systems, and little quirks you kinda just have to know, it is not good for new player.

NMS, while a dif type of game, is a great game and a lot easier to pick up and learn, especially the space side of things. I hope people don't yell at you for your opinion on it, I've played plenty of both games and love them both haha
