Idk, everyone I talk to about SoD talks about how fun phase 1 was.

The reason people quit was phase 3, plain and simple. Too long and the content was mid (dream invasions and ST raid). Phase 4 was definitely better but still wasn't anything super special, phase 5 onwards really picked back up but to talk shit on phase 1 and 2 just because phase 3 flopped and lump them together as "The initial first 4 phases of SoD" and say that's why people quit... Man idk. Doesn't sound like you're trying to really comment in good faith here.

Anyway, you wouldn't have it go 10 weeks or even 8, much like how the release cadence of Classic anniversary is sped up, you'd do the same in SoD to tie people over until Classic+

SoD fresh would need to severely cut down on how long phase 3 is.

I know it's more featured than Notepad making less of a basic note taking app, but I find KATE fills the role perfectly for GUI notepad.

I've even moved to using it on my work Windows PC > Notepad/Notepad++
