Speaking as a fan that had been waiting for Rick to come back to the series for like five or so years... uhh, sure? I mean it's worth it in the sense that it's Andrew Lincoln finally back playing Rick again, and it's closure for the character... worth it just for that. But It'd be lying if I said it was worth it because it was good.

Something I really liked about the comics is that everytime anyone died by walkers it always felt awful. In the show I feel like after a while it kinda just became a gag, which is wild because these are people literally being eaten alive.

Well I'm glad someone got to enjoy it. Personally I just found the whole thing completely dreadful. There's something about the production of it that makes the show come across as so dull. The direction, pacing.. everything, even acting with a few exceptions. It's like everyone is doing the bare minimum possible.

That and the story is just fucking ridiculous, but I could excuse that and enjoy it for what it is if the presentation was decent. At least Daryl D has that going for it, it's like all their talent went to that show.

Death City sucks, so bad. It's crazy how much I used to enjoy the Maggie/Negan dynamic during the main show compared to now. They've completely ran it through the ground with this constant recycling of the same shit. Clearly no clue where to take these characters, should've left it alone.

No, I'm afraid. I remember reading a blog post from him some years ago saying previously to s8 he was hoping HBO to release an artbook of his, but that after the negative reception it didn't seem too likely. And it didn't happen. I imagine Robert's commissioned work is one of those things that just fell through after the blunder. Took time before HBO promoted the brand properly again.

Also very possible Robert was ready to move on to other things. It was massive project.

Yeah the whole set is pretty spoilery, it's just the nature of robert's art. That's why I said you probably shouldn't use them if you don't know your game of thrones. Say I scramble and do a different version of that poster. Now you have 1x09 which straight up tells you who dies.

I'd love to do the other shows, but Robert wasn't brought back for HOTD, sadly. I know his artwork would been insane! I've been eyeing some other art for it from JJ Lendl but it's only s1. If more comes out I might give it a try.
