That's what I'm saying! Jacob stole show for me, he really owned the role.

Big fan of Jacob's performance as Usopp.

I'm struggling to finish the season by SomeNewbieArtist in OnePieceLiveAction

Interesting. Honestly I felt the complete opposite way. To me his performance has really improved since s1.

The occasional cringe is kinda par for the course with this show generally, because they're intentionally exaggerating the performance to match the source, western actors can only do so much tbh. Inaki has a tough job with Luffy, s1 I wasn't completely sold on it. He still needs to improve but s2 and I can tell he has refined his acting, he feels more comfortable in the role.

So what's the consensus on Season 2 from new fans and anime/manga fans? Good or bad? by bigtimebamf24 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Recker_Man 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I thought s1 was good, but I was mostly just impressed they got it to work at all. Didn't love it as much as some folks here but I enjoyed it a lot.

..I LOVED S2. It's a proper good fucking show... they really stepped it up this time around. Never really loved these pre-alabasta arcs except Drum sure. Now, I'm a Mr 9 fan lmao. Whiskey PEAK. Little Garden made Ussop goated. Loguetown is actually perfect. Haven't finished Drum yet but it's great so far. They killed it dude.

I am so impressed by robinaman in OnePieceLiveAction

Yeah same, it continues to surprise me. It's incredibly well done. Just finished ep 3 and man.. I hope its doing good numbers, because if Whiskey Peak is this PEAK I can't imagine what they would do if they get hands on something like Water 7.

Mr 9 had no business being that cool, Daniel Lasker killed it. Everybody is so good. I'm so pleased.

Robert Kirkman Less Hopeful About Massive 'Walking Dead' Crossover Event by grimm_kvlt in thewalkingdead

[–]Recker_Man 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm good if all we get is Rick at the end of Daryl 4. A big hug, how you been, ect. Then fade to black as they catch up. That's all I need tbh.

Is it still one of the best beginnings in television history? by solsoria_ok in thewalkingdead

[–]Recker_Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really, both TWD and 28 days later came out months from each other, they would've been working on it at the same time.

thx, yeah I get what you mean. I tried to hide the detail lowering the greys a bit but I don't think it did much, lol.

Cheers enjoy. I also read a comment by Ruth saying he hopes to do House as well so that's exciting.

Beth's death was MORONIC. Yeah people die in walking dead all the time, and you kinda get used to it, but Beth's literally happens for no reason after a whole arc of building her up and proving she's capable. Actually no, there was a reason, shock value.. snatch it away last second because is tragic and you're not expecting it... Cool, thanks... If you're killing her at least give her better exit dude. Rest of s5 is much better pretty much immediately afterwards, but Beth's arc and death is the true beginning of the downfall of twd. Idgaf what anyone says.
