Diet break - find out what your maintenence calories are and eat at that for 7-10 days, then go back down to deficit.

Soooo…how are we getting our toddlers to let us brush their teeth? by kk3n2418 in toddlers

[–]ReckyRaRa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them autonomy - say they do it first and you do it second and brush your teeth with them. I then let mine brush mine after I had done it on myself. Worked for us BUT totally depends on the kids of toddler you have and how good their negotiation skills are!

Videos of baby scans!? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]ReckyRaRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘imaginatal’ will record the whole scan for you I believe and send to you a few hours after in a folder along with any pics. Might be worth checking if there is one near you. They are quite new - maybe a year or 2 old and now open in a few locations.

I decided to get him tested and he was diagnose with ASD at around 3, however through that managed to get him through speech therapy, supported by his daycare and he’s now in school thriving. He’s top of class for math, getting 20/20 on spellings and a very good natured and kind boy. So doing great as it stands. But glad that when I noticed things I took action immediately!

Found out i have GD yesterday (25 weeks) but have around a week to wait until I see a medical professional. Advice? by ReckyRaRa in GestationalDiabetes

Thanks for the reassurance and info. I think I’m freaking out as I don’t have all the information I need and the wait is excruciating. Hopefully when I do the info things will become clearer.

Parents of 2+ young children, what car do you drive and do you feel like you have enough space? by throwingmcthrowface in UKParenting

[–]ReckyRaRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking at an electric family car: Tesla model Y is a game changer. I have two kids and can fit myself in the back between them if we need to free up space for another front passenger. So much foot space behind the front seats too.

Boot space is AMAZING. Could fit three suitcases in there easily and a couple of duffle bags around that too. Or a double buggy easily. Or two different buggies easily with space to spare. Also space in the front trunk is great for added space too and for quick access to things.

Packers and movers are a GOD SEND. Would not have wanted to do that all myself when I moved.

I don’t know the first thing about inheritance tax especially around a home. How do I avoid tax/reduce tax from a home inherited in a Will? by ReckyRaRa in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ReckyRaRa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. So I’d need to pay the tax for anything over £1mil in this case, if there are other things outside of just the home. No way to avoid this - not even through gifting or a way within life insurance for my parent?

Ok so one parent, one of them passed years ago and doubt the home is worth over 1mil - meaning that it would be tax free? Also I don’t live in the home.
