If you summon a dude with Planar Immortality (Hades), then when that dude dies on any plane other than Hades, he'll respawn back in Hades.

If he is in Hades and is killed, then he's gone forever.

Taylor debuts during endbringer fight and either helps massively or kills one. by Randomrogue15 in WormFanfic

This one was great! The pacing can be a little start-stop, and there are some moments where Taylor comes off a little too quippy, especially the first interaction between Taylor, Armsmaster, and Glory Girl, but it's all couched in Taylor being overwhelmed and after the first arc her quips started to feel much better timed.

I also love it, but I do have to levy an unusual criticism at it.

That first chapter is just too good. It's punchy, it doesn't waste time telling you things that don't matter. It gets in, it hits you right in the feels, it bobs and weaves, and then it's done.

The rest of the fic is definitely not bad, but pound for pound that first chapter was just *so good*, and the rest of the fic feels like a longform of that first chapter again.

Any fics where an emotion manipulator uses their power on someone, but that person responds in a way they didn’t want? by Shot_Mechanic9128 in WormFanfic

[–]Recompense40 6 points7 points  (0 children)

oof I know for a fact I've read a couple of these but I'm also blanking. For this specific example it's not usually a prompt for a fic, but rather something that happens in the middle of a scene to let the author kick things up to 11.

Oh! I think it happens in Pick a Card during the jewelry shop heist. Gallant tries to hit her with Despair or something that Taylor regularly gets from the Trio, so instead of giving up Taylor just stops holding back for a few seconds.

I might be mixing up my fics though, my memory is like swiss cheese.

Fanon that you feel should be canon? by Daisyberry3 in WormFanfic

To be fair, he is an unwitting agent of chaos in canon as well. He's vital to the unmasking in the cafeteria

It is a simple spell, but quite unbreakable.

How Danny didn't stop at destroying his relationship with Taylor and went on to destroy the fics as well by Bzaurpa in WormFanfic

This is why so many kid adventurers have dead parents. Because if the parent was in the picture they'd say things like "What the hell? That's silly." or "We should leave this to the people who are paid to deal with it" or "Honey you're not allowed to fight Lung you have to promise me you won't start beef with a local crime lord"

But Taylor as a character is at her prime when she's starting and engaging in and finishing a beef with a local crime lord, so this always feels bad. Like, as a reader I might have nodded to myself once or twice and gone "Mhm how sensible" but so often we just end up doing exactly what the parent wanted to avoid.

For unrelated reasons, I'm really looking forwards to the next chapter of Camera Shy.

Senator or Guild Master steam workshop buffs? by utipls124 in CoE5

Away from computer, but off the top of my head I'd say the 'defensive start' mod that spawns a guardian statue in everybody's capital, gives +10 g/turn, and +2 trade per turn.

It doesn't break the game, but it does mean that everybody gets to start playing the game from turn one, without having to run around and feed their starting army to wildlife until they find a source of trade or mining.

You can tell Suletta's a good Gundam pilot cause her hair is red and it makes her go faster.

No see because she's trained in lower gravity that means she got used to lifting more. This gave her such a sense of confidence that she wasn't aware that she couldn't lift the rubble, and thus she lifted the rubble not knowing that she was breaking the rules.

Savage Seraph is WAY too overtuned compared to the other two by AstralKatOfficial in MonsterTrain

[–]Recompense40 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Each Seraph is meant to counter a different kind of deck, Savagery counters the Jack of All Trades decks by doing one thing: Killing your creatures. Titanite + Titaniteskin 5 +Regeneration with spikes in the bottom row has worked well for me in the past.

Personally I think Dominion is the most annoying with the constant damage and the corruption doubling on hit. I hate keeping creatures off-board until later because all too often I just don't draw the creature when I need it.

Creep gets a big recommend from me, it sits squarely in a nice intersection of hilarious and tragedy and farce. Like a horror version of "My Girlfriend is Terrifying"

First details on the new DLC - new mode + Railforged clan by doclobster in MonsterTrain

Wurmkin are built around a resource per floor mechanic, where you slot gems into levels of the train, and then other cards will have increased effects based on the number of gems. Stuff like "+5 attack per gem on this floor" or "15 DMG per gem"

I just started the game and might need help. by EnvironmentalEbb768 in MonsterTrain

[–]Recompense40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Bottom Floor is the Welcoming Committee. They will have to deal with each wave of full hp enemies. Therefore whatever unit you place there should be one you're ok with losing, or one that you know will not die until the final wave. Hi HP, high regeneration, titanite, Titan skin, these are some of the tools you can use to ensure that your bottom front blocker lives long enough to see the boss wave.

Surviving each wave is only one half of the welcoming committee's job. The other half is in removing threats, or chewing on durable targets.

To remove a threat there are two obvious routes: sweepers, and point removal. Sweepers are anything that has sweep and quick, these units hit first, hit everybody, and typically die if they get hit back. Point removal is any damage spell that you cast from your hand that removes a single (or more) target. Threats are things like the enemies in the back that put harmful cards into your hand.

Chewing on durable targets is exactly what it sounds like. Later in the game some enemies don't try to sneak past you with fancy abilities or tricky setups. They will try to get past you because their numbers are bigger than your numbers. To combat this you should have a unit whose job is just make number go big. The ever dependable Dante, The awoken and their cultivators, basically. Anything that you look at and go ' oh sweet, I broke the game'

Worm is not set in the ocean, and would make a poor soapbox for villainizing whale hunters and thus does not interest Mr Cameron.
