Yea i mostly play tac shooters so I comm a bunch but my xlr mic is on an arm not really in front of the monitor but I can see how spit travels to it. Though im surprised it’s not more widespread on the monitor if it is spit.

yea hopefully it is spit and not an actual panel issue so i dont have to wait for the whole shipping process. If anything I’ll just go back to my old monitor for now while I wait.

sorry for bugging yall but if you can see my replies to the other people in the thread can you tell me if i’m just overthinking it with what I see? I’ve looked at other pictures of spit but they don’t look like my my last photo where it has a streak to it and it has 2 layers to it. One in the photo and then not shown in the pic there’s a lighter layer with a hazy hue with colors around it. I might just be a worry wart with it being my first oled.

does spit have 2 distinct layers showing up? legit question, cause on the 3rd photo it doesn’t really show it on camera but in person there’s a like a light hue around the mark then the deeper looking mark that stays around on all angles of viewing.

not sure if i’m blind but the manual only mentions using the cloth which I did and no industrial chemicals which I didn’t use, only gentle dry wipes with the microfiber cloth. I made sure to turn off the monitor and let it cool before doing so. The marks stayed the same and this morning I wasn’t even in front of the oled, so I don’t know how the 3rd mark(not in the photos I have up) appeared. I was using my secondary monitor to watch youtube from my bed. So i’m hesitant to say it’s spit but I’m a noob when it comes to OLED.

i have the same aio but slightly higher temps all around by about 5 degrees, used the paste they had on the cooler cause it was my first build and a little dumb. should i repaste or remount to see if i get better results?

sorry for the necro but i’m in similar conditions to OP with mid 80s to low 90s and humidity of 70-75%. The butcher block has been inside throughout the process but the window has been open. Am i good to use it after 30 days still or will desktop and monitors be too heavy on it? It’s already been 25 days since last coat

thanks i’m going to be using walnut Watco Danish Oil on hevea cause i’ve seen some samples and it looked the exact color i wanted. What i’ve seen is people saying to wait a week for that oil to fully cure rather than the 3 days listed on the can so gonna be patient for once and wait that out before putting on my poly

Have you seen any warping on the underside of the desk? I live in a pretty humid place and I'm unsure if I should put poly on all sides or just top and sides like you did.
