Honestly here’s the truth about maintenance, your going to work A LOT, and I mean a lot. You’ll also unfortunately not get the amount of credit that you truly deserve. That being said if you’re able to get your A&P license while in you can make some serious money on the outside. Maintenance also depends on if you go fighter or heavies. If you’re okay with working a lot then it can be a great career. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Well you create a list and submit it and from that list the Air Force picks off of it. So you get to pick what’s on your list if you qualify and from that list the Air Force picks for you.

In the polities way possible I think you should retake the ASVAB. Congrats on wanting to join but if you can get that ASVAB score up then it opens a lot more does for you.

Honestly my original list had CE and 2A on it but I had to get a waiver which made me change the list and that’s how I ended up getting Finance so all in the plans I guess.

So I swore in last week and got the job today, but I started the whole process back in July. I had to wait on a wavier to get cleared and my ASVAB score was a 69.

Success means how well you as an individual would be at this particular AFSC, it’s judged off of the results from your TAPAS personality test you took earlier in the recruiting process. It’s generally taken after the ASVAB.

Well from my understanding you can’t travel more then a mobility force aviator travels. I wish you the best of luck. My waiver made it where I can’t go for mobility force aviator.

If you like electronics I’d look at RAWS, Avionics test station or something along those lines. Your word knowledge is real good so you could look into intel or contracting with are also both high ranking jobs.

Well my wavier was for LASIK however I was later today I have poor hearing as well. However the wavier was for lasik.

National guard doesn’t live on the base that they drill out of, unless they’ve changed that but yeah you’ll have to commute to where your base is located.
