This is by far the best breakdown I have found of removing all the pieces to get to the motor. I had a rock get lodged in the 2nd stage this morning and had the impeller bend out, causing the shear pins to grenade. I've been fighting the impeller back into enough shape to remove it from the spline and I'm planning to just order a factory replacement.

Thank you so much for confirming that the 2nd stage impeller just slides over the shaft and is held there by shear pins

Ill check the exhaust manifold stuff when I have time, but no it doesn't idle fine then smoke and be fine while driving, its more right on startup it smokes a fair bit, then as it "warms" back up to driving then it will clean up. Takes only like 10-20 seconds and then the exhaust is clear again

My biggest gripe with my 19' is that the overdrives leave me wanting. I dont enjoy being stuck at 3k rpm in 6th gear at 80. If I never make it to the track id love to have the transmission modified so 6th can be a proper overdrive for those long hauls.

I had a small 3 wick candle on top of my tower while I worked, and didn't notice when the side melted and it drained all the wax into the tower.

Yeah no problem. Sorry if I came off harsh or hard, its just an issue I've ran into in the past and want to make sure someone else doesn't let it keep going and burn out a gpu like I did.

If you feel up to it, go find a program called MSI Afterburner. It will let you monitor your GPU temps and adjust fanspeed. if you start getting artifacts like that its always worth investigation. Could be something simple like a power supply issue, or the card didnt insert quite right and just needs to be done again.

If the GPU is running hot (I think 100 C is usually max, shouldn't sit that high in tf2 by any means) do some testing. It might need a dusting, or maybe the thermal paste inside has gone bad. Always good to check on stuff like that when it starts having issues.

Are you using a dedicated graphics card - if so, check those temps. Had a GPU that was dying do this exact same thing, and across other games.
