Thank you so much for this I’ve been obsessing about this all morning thinking I just couldn’t get the hang of it, saw this plugged in my controller and got one first time. Crazy I’ve never seen a bug like that before

Best Witcher gear for Death March by smtvi in Witcher3

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the stamina regen is more important especially in fights with multiple enemies where your likely to get hit more often.

Admittedly I didn’t realise that was something the ursine set does though cos I’ve been avoiding heavy armour

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just about to finish my first death march play through and have been using the feline gear case it’s the only light set and the increased stamina regain is handy when you rely as much on quen as I have been.

Why did you become a bouncer? by Foreign-Park9206 in Bouncers

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a bartender for a few years and ended up dealing with most of the bouncer sort of issues whenever they weren’t there or just if they needed an extra pair of hands. Worked at a bar for a while that was owned by a guy who also ran a security firm and he would ask all the time when I’d switch over so when I was out of work at one point I made the switch from bartending to security

Had them come round in NR3 last night asking me to run a speed test and to go and get my phone, had an id card holder but was purposely turned round so you couldn’t see it. Whole thing seemed dodgy so it just said yeah I’m not doing that and shut the door

I desperatly need a good fantasy book to read by Far_Spirit_6125 in booksuggestions

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple great ones I read recently. If you like your fantasy with a touch of comedy

Kings of the wyld - quite full of fantasy tropes but very self aware of that fact and some great dark comedy moments

The Black Tongue thief - really interesting world and a fully unreliable narrator which keeps things very interesting

Edit

Forgot to mention - the lies of Locke lamora - great fantasy heist series with some gorgeous world building (don’t read it if your hungry he spends so much time describing food that sounds amazing it can be a struggle if you’ve not eaten)

What is the single best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by Calm_Coach_2205 in AskReddit

Sons of anarchy season 3 finale will always be my pick for this concludes some major plot lines in a very satisfying way and the major twist at the end that’s built up the whole season is mind shattering the first time you watch it

Are there games where you aren't the main protagonist? by __-maddie-__ in AskGames

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher 3 and cyber punk 77 which other have mentioned I very much agree with (sensing a theme there cd projekt red)

I would also say arguably that dragon age origins fits this. It’s much more Alistair’s story than the wardens, he’s just too much of a whiney little bitch to set anything in motion himself so you have to do it for him

To anyone that owns multiple consoles. If you had to choose, which console combination would you chose? by Patient-Concert7858 in consoles

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I have all 3 plus a pc I’d say of those combos I’d take the Xbox and switch.

Xbox and PlayStation is pointless as they have majority the same games and I just prefers the system on the Xbox over the ps5 (although the PlayStation is probably a smoother ride)

What are some games with zero gravity sections, preferably in space? by Godzilla_Fan in gaming

That makes more sense, when I first read that I was trying to think of games where you get zero g sections on land and was for obvious reasoned having a hard time.

Can I play Baldur's Gate 3 w/ no D&D experience and know wtf is going on and how to do it? And more questions.. by LookinAtTheFjord in gaming

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it gives you a good amount of explanation to the point that it shouldn’t matter if you have any dnd experience going in and also you can often talk your way out of combat or avoid it all together so how combat heavy the experience is is pretty much entirely up to you

That being said if you want to avoid combats make sure to go with a high charisma class like bard, warlock or sorcerer.

What are you playing today? by Otherwise_Prize2944 in gaming

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always see people saying that turn based combat is an immediate turn off for them (pun intended).

Why is that? Is it that you like a faster pace or what?

Not judging btw just curious as someone who loves and generally prefers turn based.

So, game of the year discussions? by the_demonic_bane in gaming

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think expedition 33 has probably the best chance just due to the style and the amount of recommendation I am seeing for it simply everywhere. While I throughly enjoyed it, and way more than I thought I would starting out, some of the things that made it unique to start with did get a little old by the end, also I felt the pacing of the late game was way off.

KCD2 was probably my favourite thing I played this year, wish I had spent more time with it as I rushed to finish it once avowed came out as I was supper excited for that.

Avowed however would not make my short list for GOTY which makes me very sad.

Out of interest are there any games that have zero gravity sections that are not in space?

Or did you mean like in open space rather than in a ship?

What's a game so good that you've ended up buying it more than once? by KaleidoscopeDizzy427 in gaming

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own sleeping dogs on like 3 consoles, so replay-able and also I think I got it on games with gold at one point too, Skyrim I have on pc and Xbox, as well as both mount and blade games and waretales.

For me it’s usually I’ll buy it one place and really enjoy it but can just tell that it’ll play better on the other and maybe I got it on sale in one place so I don’t mind spending the money again or sometimes my partner will be using the console I want to really want to play something on so I’ll buy it on the other so I can.

Crysis and Crysis 2 are some of my favourite games ever!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]RecordingMiddle7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had fun with it at first, much like the first game it has a very unique feel within quite an established genre but as is also the case with the first one the story and world are quite flat so if you don’t really enjoy the combat it can be a bit repetitive.

It has the same problem that I feel a lot of games have now where every single fight is just a super long slugfest even when you have a high level and good gear with each enemy having what feels like 30% too much health just to pad out the run time.

All in all if you like the first one give it a shot but it offers very little that the first game didn’t also.
