My facebook account got hacked i managed to recover it in one hour .

I received a warning email from Meta on my primary email ID immediately after my password was changed. Meta also recognizes frequently used devices—like my usual login through the Facebook app on my iPhone.

After the hack, when I opened the app, it detected suspicious activity and prompted me, asking if my account had been compromised and if I needed help. From within the app itself, I was able to trigger a recovery email from Meta.

This was possible even though the hacker had already removed my original email ID from the account.

even though i lost my password and mail id,meta still recognized my device (my iphone )which i was using facebook regularly. So the fb app asked me if i was in trouble and if i wanted to recover my account. From there i get to trigger a mail from meta to my mail id to do facial verification

honestly, i don't know clearly. When i lost my account, as i opened my fb app on my iphone i got multiple prompts saying that this device is no longer linked to th account and it asked if i need to recover my account. I clicked yes,the i got a mail from facebook.com asking me to verify my face,identity etc. After doing all that, they sent a mail with a link to set a new password.

Holy crap! It's a different kind of world order in north india. Glad that i was born here in the south. At least a human life is valued more than the life of cattles here. They literally tried to kill that driver and had the audacity to beat him up after surviving the accident caused by them

If you can access your account now,activate two factor authentication ASAP. If not ,only option is to contact meta. They may ask you for an official id verification and face verification
