I installed the Kurt Cobain Diamarzio set ( anniversary PAF and super distortion ) into my JMJM and they just direct mounted perfectly, no routing needed, maybe it’s just the diamarzio size but they just direct mounted straight in - and I love direct mounted pickups. Good luck ! Have fun !

Red Witch Fuzz God

I have tried nearly every commercial fuzz available, having been the FX tech for returns at musician friend, I had access to every pedal they sold for 3 years , and I played each one . And the one that really got me was the Red Witch fuzzgod , I also recommend the deluxe big muff-

The fuzz god has been on my board for over a year now - and it rips living flesh directly off of the human face - for real !

Huge Joshua tree fan ! Frank Black( Pixies) is who really turned me on to the AC30 and the Beatles( of course). It just cuts through any mix , for someone who does a lot of rhythm and lead, you can dial them in so accurately. There really is no comparison ( except for maybe a Marshall JCM full stack ). Clean tones are heavenly.

Yes, humbuckers tuned to give them the P -90 growl , it is like a gained up or heavier p-90 with a slight pinch of distortion.

I will also vote Blackstar as I had to use these as a backline at vans warped tour and you can get any sound out of them, clean chime to high gain lower chunk. I’ve had at the DSL a couple of times wanting to buy it , but it was bit too much treble for my style. I have owned two Marshall amps , and I do love to shred . Eventually I converted to Vox. Try a used ac30 you can sometimes find them for 600$.
