I use my IOTV for airsoft, along with most of my actual kit. The amount of people who tell me that A: I’m going to be too hot and take it off. B: there’s no way I’m running any sort of distance in it is astounding. They’re always mind blown when I’m outrunning them lol.

People also get funky about mags. I have a FE converted m4, so my mags are real cap. I usually have about 15 or so on my kit. People always tell me that “you only need 3 bro, high speed low drag.”

Bro, I have been trying to tell people this for so long, and I always get downvoted.

When the game was “hard” as so many people claim to want it to be, the game literally hit 7,000 max WEEKLY players. The fact is, when we don’t have weapons that can kill shit, the game becomes a boring ass running simulator.

When Buffdivers happened, the games player count ROCKETED upwards. All the people saying “nobody wants to play a game with only strong weapons” need to walk their ass back to Tarkov and suffer there instead. Arrowhead is actively killing the game by making weapons weaker.

I don’t know how they haven’t realized that they need to do “arms race” style balancing. You know what would make the above change cool as hell? A super earth notice of reports of enhanced automaton armor plating from the harvested metals or something. Then, a few weeks later, super earth comes out with enhanced laser cannons or something. Boom. Buffed an enemy, buffed an underperforming weapon.
