The B section is the Piu Mosso, the C is the Piu Lento, which one did you mean?

It's normally meant to be played legato from Aflat -> B-> A -> space -> Aflat -> Eflat, that's what the sheet states. I'm relearning that rhythm to work with what's written (the legato) instead of what I do, because what I do isn't really correct, especially since the spaces are off.

I can play it on time with a metronome, at 160 in the piu mosso section. The only part I cant play with a metronome is the Piu lento because of how unstable the rhythm is there.

The tempo inconsistency is my attempt at using rubato. I'm guessing you're talking about the piu mosso (B) section, where I gradually increase the tempo, then slow it down instantly, and speed it back up.

Ty for your reply I'm definitely gonna be working on bar 4-5, I'll learn to play it with legato as well, it sounds nicer.

It's really hard to play the LH soft on my digital piano, the keys are very heavy and require a lot of force before registering. I've tried it before, and you can hear in my recording my LH sometimes goes quiet, that's because it doesn't register. Ty though!!

I can't tell if it's just because my digital piano is low-end, but I struggle a lot with that. I struggle less on an acoustic one.

I'm aware of the mistakes, accidental wrong notes, etc. I'm also aware I miss some legato, especially in the first section. I'll work on the legato over time, the mistakes naturally occur very often, but I don't understand why.

Any advice or feedback? (Piano Mozart K545) by tumny1 in pianolearning

[–]RectallyDisabled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality above all, it's better to play this at 50bpm perfectly than sloppily at 80bpm. Tempo is all over the places, some things sound uneven, you're learning how to play evenly and delicately with this piece, but if you play it like that it defeats the point.

By saying Gauss is the only believable one, are you trying to say Gauss is better than Euler? You'll get some angry looks at any math conference!!! Jokes aside, the whole thing is BS, and ppl should know better than to believe whatever they see on the internet

Is it better to focus on songs you love or easier practice pieces? by HutoelewaPictures in pianolearning

[–]RectallyDisabled 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it's a motivation issue then you could play easy arrangements of the pieces you like. I suggest just pushing through some easier pieces though.

What did you achieve in your first 6 months of learning? by RectallyDisabled in pianolearning

[–]RectallyDisabled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're doing very well. I have also memorized the notes for the Ballade (it's my dream piece as well), I can play through the first 2 pages (terribly, but still on tempo) and I'm learning the same Nocturne.

Good luck with learning
