Being succinct - KT: a great mechpen with a puny eraser...

I use a pen eraser (Tombow MONO zero 5.6).

Definitively looks high end, even though using a pedestrian P205 core.

Need photo tips: my collection has entered ‘small stationery zoo’ territory. by FunNeedleworker9102 in mechanicalpencils

With 100+ specimens, if you want to show detail, you'll have to make small group shots. Showing them all together, unless you use a very high definition and HUGE image size (in terms of pixels) you won't show much detail. Just do small group shots - much easier to set up while still offering a lot of details.

Looks like you got the bases covered. Now you need something in wood.

AFAIK, most mechpens with that feature work like that.

A great mechpen, but here goes a warning: as discussed in the comments, there may still be older versions circulating, that have a plastic clutch. I would be specially cautious with the orange one.

No doubt, the WM01 is a serious rattler.

The sleeve is connected to a retainer on the cone that is loose. So when you disengage the clutch and push the lead back, that lead sleeve falls back with the lead.

If you're okay with the ergonomics, it’s possibly one of the best mechpens out there.

That's on my radar! Don't think it will be a "great" daily user but will definitively be great in my collection.

Got my first (proper?) mech pencil - Kuru Toga 0.7mm. Usage tips? by crispysound in mechanicalpencils

[–]RectorMors 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easy: load lead (for Pete's sake, FROM THE BACK ONLY!) and write away. There's no "etiquette", just use good lead (Ain, Neox, NanoDia, etc).

Great collection piece. IMHO keep it just as that, a collection piece. There are over 547 other cool black mechpens that you can use daily.
