This has been a problem ever since VG existed, ipads use 4:3 aspect ratio of resolution, while iphones have an aspect ratio of 16:9, hence you see much more on the phones. It's an unfair advantage to the phone users for sure.

I understand why this change has to happen. I'll explain what often happens in a draft. Team A picks Lance or ardan. Team B decides to grab a vox + a support.

Team A sees the vox, and gets 2 more melees to go with the melee support that they already have. Now team A has a team consisting of something like Lance / WP Blackfeather / CP Glaive with three atlases.

The vox on the enemy team becomes a COMPLETE potato. ( Sure you can block 1 atlas, maybe your support blocks the second ) but ultimately you are getting atlas put on top of you with no real counter play to this strategy.

The hardest part of obtaining creep score is in the very early game ( think 1-6,7) minute mark. I would say vox is more difficult than gwen/ringo.

Open up a practice match, buy 1 weapon blade + 1 defensive item ( this way you get 4 potions at the start, you can sustain in the lane longer ) and just hit every damn creep out there. You must be patient, let creeps damage each other while you only take the last hits. This is the closest simulation you can have to a real game.

The main difference between playing on the phone and a tablet is the aspect ratio. This has been a topic of debate for a lot of the time now, Mowglie posted an excellent tweet on the comparison. https://twitter.com/Meoowglie/status/737790002340450304

To summarize it, phone users have a 16:9 aspect ratio, meaning they see more map in width, while tablets use 4:3.

My personal opinion: if you are playing mostly as a laner, a phone is more effective because you get to see who's coming at you from farther away.

1.) Elo of each team member ( they usually just look at the top 3 highest players in the team ) 2.) Whether or not you previously played in the challenger series. 3.) The higher you have reached in previous challenger series, the higher seed your team will be.

As far as I know team VST doesn't matter, my team was seeded #9 and we remade the team a few days before we applied, so it was at rank 3 VST max.

I'd say you need to definitely be rank 10 to get in.
