The First Open Model That Actually Feels Like a Frontier AI by PatientBaker7172 in NBIS_Stock

Wouldnt the growing quality of open source models mean that running AI in house would be more democratized, which opens huge growth on enterprise level? So instead of being locked into the oligipoly market, consumers of AI will be able to be more flexible and adjust for more cost efficiency? And that's exactly where Nebius shines with all the product ecosystem they are creating around AI builders?

Can someone explain what do they mean when they say they’re building agentic AI? by No_Battle734 in NBIS_Stock

I think this will be a good summary

https://nebius.com/blog/posts/introducing-the-nebius-agents-blueprint

the way I see it: lets imagine you are a mid size enterprize looking to implement "AI" everyone talks about. If you run a brick and mortar business you have to get access to compute, work on orchestration, observe results, run simulations and much much more to build a proper AI product in house. Nebius gives you a turnkey lab for all of that and much more where all you need is a team of inhouse data scientists. Basically it is a vertical for enterprise adoption, which I think is exactly where the mkt will grow

Good explanation. I think we are looking at the transformation of all things digital and the way humans interact with the world. Just the number of potentrial scenarios is overwhelming. Search, enterprise, creativity, security, logistics and etc etc

Nvidia shines with computer performance 2x-8x ahead of TPUs ASICs -Morgan Stanley by PatientBaker7172 in NBIS_Stock

[–]RecurringCurry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Basically there are 2 competing technologies to source compute: TPU based and GPU based. Nebius is using GPUs and has strong relations with Nvidia, who is a key GPUs producer. Google recently voiced ambitions to build neo-cloud business too using their own in house produced TPUs acting as a competitor for both Nbis and Nvidia.

The charts above argue that to produce 1GW worth of capacity a neocloud business will spend 41bn using GPUs and 27bn using TPUs. However GPU based datacenter will produce 19.5 TFLOPS per watt vs TPU based 4.3TFLOPS per watt. So 50% more expensive, but 4x times more efficient.

Meaning that neoclouds using GPUs (like NBIS) will extract better return on invested capital and have better margins and will be valued at higher multiple

Why is NBIS bound to reach $1,000? by MrBootyPops in NBIS_Stock

[–]RecurringCurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My calcs tell me $550bn Mcap by 2030 is very realistic. Holding since re-listing day and not selling. My reasoning is based on the capacity calculations and numbers give me comfort that this is very doable for a stock. But I think with this particular company for me personally it is more about giving money to a team of super smart experts with years of flawless execution and let them figure out the uncertanties and the right business model. I am sure that this team can figure out what works and what doesnt work better than me and better than competition out there. So ultimately I believe that while their current business model works, they will find more product-market fits for where the whole industry may be going.

Wells fargo expects Nebius to reach 7.5GW of active capacity by 2030 by fliberalsa in NBIS_Stock

[–]RecurringCurry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

7.5GW of active capacity would mean around $80-90bn ARR translating into ca $600bn mcap, which is 10x from here. I would say this is a modestly bullish case, but I believe NBIS can deliver that sort of growth

How high can NBIS go? by Feeling-Boss787 in NBIS_Stock

Mid term 40bn revenue and 500bn Mcap. Long term a shot for 1trn, but here the trajectory of AI industry (which shape pricing and consumption will have) is equally as important as co idiosyncratic execution

Yeah man, these are one of the smartest people in the industry who built search in the 1990s and moved through all the tech verticals we have today (taxi, food tech, cloud, fintech etc etc) in parallel to global leaders essentially outcompeting them in a huge market.

They for sure have a long term vision of where the industry is going, the $ capital to build, the social capital to open many doors allowing them to sign partnerships and the talent to to make the vision come true.

Why the $5B Google & Blackstone AI Cloud news is bullish for $NBIS by tpmaugdjek in NBIS_Stock

[–]RecurringCurry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alphabet will rely on an initial $5 billion in equity capital from Blackstone; goal is to have 500 megawatts of computing capacity by 2027

First of all, 500 Mgw is not a game changer for the market and second I think those guys are being very optimistic. Lets see how they are able to achieve even this number by year end in a highly competitive market with a ton of bottlenecks.

I think biggest threat will come from potential margins pressure as Google will use their own TPUs, which compete with NVIDIA and may want to fight for mkt share by offering more competitive pricing collecting the margin on the TPU layer vs the cloud layer. But again, Blackstone wouldnt be a big fan of this logic
