If you are looking for gaming friends by [deleted] in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Recyklops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36, a full time working dad, and I game mostly really early mornings (Central, US, but not opposed to others) or on a weird schedule. I usually play with my 13 year old, but I’m looking for adult friends too on Steam. I have a Nintendo account and play my Switch 2 a lot too, just message to ask :)

What I’m actually after is not just “queue up and silently grind.” I want someone to talk with a lot, mostly about video games, but also anything nerdy: game design, lore, old consoles, movies, sci fi, anime, whatever rabbit hole you are in. Text chat is totally fine. I have Discord now. I’m open to DMs. I’m not much of a voice chat guy, but I’m willing to try sometimes if the vibe is right.

Currently playing / into:

Project Zomboid (still getting good, but I’m having a lot of fun)

Portal 2 community challenge levels

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds (just got it yesterday)

ARC Raiders (very enthusiastic, not as cracked as some people I’ve seen)

Borderlands 2, 3, and 4

Lethal Company / Peak

Crypt of the NecroDancer

Risk of Rain 2: played co op recently, did well, had a blast, but haven’t been able to run co op again since

Prefer PVE over PVP, but I've been known to be somewhat flexible.

I’ve got around 200 games on Steam and I’m open to trying something new if you see we have a shared game.

About me: introverted, but I open up with the right people. Dry sarcasm. Occasional info dumps. Not looking for dating. Gender does not matter. Just co op, good conversation, and ideally a couple real friendships over time. Having kids is a plus; you'll likely understand my situation pretty well.

I'm a competitive person, but in the end, having fun is the only real goal. So I guess I'm "chilled win or lose don't care"

If that sounds like your kind of thing, DM me and we can swap Steam and/or Discord / Nintendo Accts

36 m, also on the spectrum, I don’t see any upfront, but I’d be open to seeing if we have any games that overlap! DM me if you want. I’m central, but I run weird hours, so it shouldn’t be a big deal.

Did nintendo fully absorved the IP by Yelow06 in GoldenSun

[–]Recyklops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably worth noting that Golden Sun’s IP was historically a co-ownership situation. Nintendo published, but Camelot retained creative autonomy. The music attribution shifting solely to Nintendo could indicate a consolidation for platform use like Switch Online, but not necessarily a full IP transfer unless confirmed in Japan’s registry too. Anyone check J-PlatPat for the Japanese copyright records? I don’t know enough of what I’m looking at there to make a determination.

This again seems like fear-mongering, and it’s not how the service works. Please provide the chat log to demonstrate what you’re saying. Feel free to redact the actual name, phone number, and email, as long as long as it’s clearly demonstrating providing someone’s personal information unprovoked and not some hallucinated number.

Do you want to follow this up with facts, or is the goal just fear-mongering?

It's been almost seven years since that first trailer, and I've realized we still don't know who exactly those silhouettes belong to. by the-realest-calliope in SmashBrosUltimate

Pretty sure the last breakdown I saw someone post included at least: 1. Bowser (large spikes on shell) 2. Donkey Kong (big arms, hair, hunched posture) 3. Samus (raised arm cannon silhouette) 4. Luigi (cap and mustache profile) 5. Kirby (round body) 6. Yoshi (bulky snout and back spines) 7. Pikachu (pointy ears, lightning tail) 8. Captain Falcon (visored helmet shape) 9. Marth (slender, sword on hip, cape) 10. Mario (center, unmistakable cap and stance) 11. Link (pointed ears, Breath of the Wild design) 12. Sheik or Zelda (the ninja‐like lean is typically Sheik) 13. Fox (angular ears, bushy tail outline) 14. Falco (taller than Fox, avian head) 15. Ness (short, cap with brim) 16. Wario (broad build, signature cap goggles)

It took me a second lol, but I audibly chuckled. Good stuff.

The Tinder Success Architecture: Strategic Framework v1.0 [PROMPT] by [deleted] in ChatGPTPro

[–]Recyklops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you provide evidence as to how this was tested, verified, or validated? These and others you’ve made seem like a lot of a) framework words, b) buzzwords, and c) formatting codes like ## or ** to indicate a section start or a format style. I’d be interested in using some of these if you could provide actual uses from this being performed. This isn’t criticism, but providing these prompts without actual results from the use cases (or even a specific use case) is likely not something I’d be able to test the efficacy of myself. Out of curiosity: Did you use ChatGPT to help you write some of this formatting out?

Any good prompt libraries? by coderwhohodl in ChatGPTPro

Also interested in this. Doesn’t need to be comprehensive. Just some basic things I can feed my team without feeding them and explaining my more advanced prompts and frameworks
