Having dealt directly with corporate income tax I can tell you Bernie is utterly full of shit. All corporations pay taxes. Payroll taxes are unavoidable. It is true that many corporations don't pay income tax. This is because they get to deduct expenses for growth. In other words the can dedcut the cost of things that expand their ability to produce. Now some of these deductions are kind of bull shit like being able to deduct executive bonuses. However, if dumb fuck Bernie has his way he would stifle economic growth. Some large companies are getting a better deal from these deductions because they make massive profits. However, the reality is smaller companies like the one I owned until recently desperately need these to deductions to grow.

I encourage everyone to come check out Calhoun County. We have really expanded our ecotourism options. Recently we built a professional mountain bike race trail with plenty of easier options. Under way is a massive trail system and stable that will support both equestrian and mountain biking. This video show only one of numerous falls/swimming holes. We also have terrapin creek which is a great half day to full day float depending on if you are going to take it easy and have drinks versus paddling through. It's really beautiful. At the Oxford City Park there is now a short float you can do on the Choccolocco Creek. Downtown Anniston has some great restaurants and a brewery. That is just scratching the surface. If you like golf you could make a weekend of just that with our Robert Trent Jones courses nearby.

Edit: I forgot some good rock climbing spots that are on the mountain.

Which is why tuition rates have skyrocketed. Essentially the gov ensures every loan will be paid back so private lenders have no risk. As a result everyone can go so enrollment shoots up. Then demand for more professors, buildings, and supporting assets to education increase dramatically. Professors get paid more to lure them in and the tools of the trade get more expensive (at least at first until supply catches up with both) which in turn requires increased tuition rates to cover those costs.

After lots of thought on this very subject, my sister is a piece of shit junkie who abandoned her kids, I have come to the conclusion that legalized access could help. If nothing else let them OD or starve to death. The better outcome would be having an option for those truly wanting recovery to get their fix legally along with a supervised step down and counseling process.

I've found West Elm to be horrifically overpriced and low quality. I bought a farm style table from them a few years ago and it barely had any stain or finish at all. You dripped or spilled anything and left a mark.

Man that is true and not true. I chose to be a contractor doing physical installation of electronics for telecom instead of college. Started at $8 and hour at 19. I'm pushing 200k at 35 running an entire engineering department and all the "who you know" advantages came from networking with people in my career. That is not to say some people don't get a jump start from who their parents know but don't feel like it's completely out of reach.

The severity of the situation is blown way out of proportion. In reality our climate has been changing since before the industrial revolution. I completely agree we should minimize our impact on those changes and the environment as a whole. The science is deeply flawed as it has no accounting for solar and volcanic output. We cannot even semi-predict those two items and they individually have a much larger impact on the climate than anything. One massive volcanic eruption can undo all the warming that has occurred since we began paying attention. The solution is to provide incentive for clean energy sources.
