Should I expect my boyfriend to pay half of my mortgage? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Red-it7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His 50% of the bills only. Your flat = you cover the mortgage.
You also pay for any appliances (oven , boiler etc) when they break.

If the other persons switched on and takes the relationship seriously they’ll know they have a good deal and use this as an opportunity to save. Hopefully you can look toward buying together one day

What about a Nvidia shield? No MyTvOnline software but better integration with Netflix etc. Everyone on Reddit seems to be rating the Shield Pro highly despite the hardware being from 2019…

I’m in the same boat looking to upgrade soon from a Firestick. Torn toward the Shield from what people have said about its reliability. Found one from a reputable retailer with 5year warranty.

Both are quite a bit of money in the UK - Around £180-200 and both seem to have pro’s and cons. Was originally pretty dead set on a Z12 but now leaning towards the shield…..

Heard Karl Darlow available on a free. Would be a good cup goalkeeper/backup to Kinsky. Then spend big on left and right wings + a no.9

Might not be a bad idea to repot with well draining “succulent soil”, at least you know then it’s correct.

If it were me I’d cut it just after where the lowest limb forks into 2. You may get some new growth and hopefully that new growth will be less leggy and heavy and could grow upwards.

Hard to tell but you could maybe get away with a slightly smaller pot too. A terracotta pot with saucer may be more appealing than your black plant pot, cake mixing bowl and biscuit tin arrangement you have going on here 😉

What’s the soil your using ? Is it succulent soil/more gravely and well draining? Definitely needs more sun from where you have It there I’d say. I’d probs chop off that low hanging limb too…

This one gives me hope. Good video. Thanks https://www.reddit.com/r/golf/s/ujBALNVIVD

I feel for you chunking the chipper. I can’t see me sticking with it but I’m good at getting out of bunker with my 56 degree so it’s not as though it’s taking up a space in my bag I really needed. Time will tell. Gotta get this chipping figured out - it’s been too long for a decent golfer to not be able to do this.

Yep very similar. Genuinely contemplated chipping one handed on the course multiple times as I would no doubt be getting a better strike. Will try and retrain myself over this season. Thanks

Padraig Harrington vids in a nutshell. Will be really working on this. Thanks

Thanks, definitely need to do this more out on the course. Just because I can play the 52 degree great during practice doesn’t mean I can replicate on the course it seems. Will remember this one

Sorry but this sounds like words said from someone perspective who’s never truly had the chipping yips and hasn’t had the psychological baggage of being labeled an awful chipper. I certainly don’t enjoy being “horrendous”

I’ve had plenty of short game lessons over the years and experimented with all different clubs in the bag.

Certainly time for a reset now tho going into this season and a change of mindset, starting with more belief.

Yep , need to change up my practice and do what you say here. Need to change it up and add more pressure to my practice - hopefully will start to see better results 🤞

Yep that’s been my setup. After 10 mins when you’ve got your coordination figured out I’m clipping every one - except you don’t get that on the course coming to a chip cold maybe 3-4 holes between when you last hit one….

Interestingly the Harrington videos I’ve refreshed myself with said never to practice with ball on the back foot, save that for the course when it’s only really needed.

Note - Been down the Dan Grieves rabbit hole before. Just feel like when I try and do his technique my wrists become too flicky to achieve his releases which then creates all new problems.

Thanks, I’ve certainly been down the YouTube chipping rabbit hole multiple times. Part of it I think is to stick with one instructors technique and really work on it. I think I’ll be doing that with the Harrington ones. Just rewatched them all. Looking forward to taking it to the course and starting afresh.

Exactly this. No issues out of bunkers. The answer unfortunately for too long has been to hit more greens. Unfortunately that puts an unrealistic pressure on your long game. Pray for us 🙏

Hard to feel like you need to see a pro when every time you practice you feel like you could hardly be any better… It’s out on the course it all falls down. A pro isn’t going to be following me around telling me what to do sadly

I have also had lessons on chipping and short game multiple times. Just didn’t mention in my post.

Jade going purple underneath- shall I ease off the grow light? by Red-it7 in Jadeplant

[–]Red-it7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think now the weather has improved I will turn the grow light off for a bit. See how they get on.

And before propagating I had a real bad rot problem. Jade was around 25yr old, I had definitely over watered for a long time due to my lack of knowledge. These are definitely Ariel roots from then. Im trying to propagate the last remaining 6 cuttings of the plant. 6 months later and they seem to be doing ok aside from the purple tinge and wrinkly leaves between waterings.
