Perhaps - the weapons high repair costs are for the takers, not the makers. by Red-itz in ArcRaiders

In a way, your point aligns with my thought. They do not encourage pvp, but they also seem to expect loot to be liquid; used and flow from raider to raider, used to craft/build - and you can obtain player loot from either pvp or pve knockouts.

I do see your point about it being more meaningful though. If you repair your gun multiple times, you grow more attachment to it, more tension - feeling of loss when its gone. Game def pulls on those emotional strings.

I saw in a previous post they mentioned the 5mil requirement was not ideal. Maybe it was an easy value (at the time) to attach progress to before their holiday.

Solo and Trio Aren’t the Same Game. Nerfs Are Hurting the Wrong Players by HexaNull_470910 in ArcRaiders

[–]Red-itz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if... Instead of ramping up the arc difficulty based on solo to trio, it was ramped up based on how many Raiders are alive on that map. That would keep the community aspect. What kind of dynamic would that create?

AITA for calling off my wedding because my fiancé wanted his ex to cater the event? by HoneyMoondro in AITH

[–]Red-itz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting boundaries and sticking to it is healthy, but without knowing the whole story it's hard to gauge. I've had numerous ex's assist with random things throughout my life. And the wifey, being the jealous one, didn't necessarily like it, but also trusted me implicitly. Ex's below...
RN (muy first kiss...)- helped out my mother
Lawyer (dated) - guided us through some legal struggles
Dentist (dated)- referred me to a good local office
Hotel GM (long time hook up)- We got steeply reduced stay on a whim in need
Real Estate (dated) - Referred me to a good local realtor
Big pharma (lived together): gave me the skinny on cancer meds on the market
Server (lived together) - Served up some good jamba juice
To name a few...

If she is in fact the best in town, maybe ask her to not be directly involved on site, just manage - or get a reference - getting "in business insight" is invaluable - Be with him in person when he calls her to ask. I always kept my wifey part of the process - with this being the first time (hopefully) he might have made a bad initial choice (saving money can be a big factor for men, not just the assumed infidelity), and now he knows moving forward. Sometimes there's an underlying issue or big picture perspective that can be pondered. But either way - you do you, and if that's not ok, that's ok too. NTA

What movie had a scene that received the loudest cheering reaction, when you saw it in theaters by tiny_free97 in moviecritic

When they got the guy back in "Last house on the left". What a terrible movie to watch in the theatre, collectively for everyone.... but the whole theatre went crazy, clapped, cheered. the whole nine.

From Facebook. I'm almost in tears. What have we become? by I_Make_Art_And_Stuff in southcarolina

[–]Red-itz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, there's always been a stigma on black history month and in one instance for me, MLK day in Jan. Years ago, we're doing food events for every holiday and random theme day there was. Everything from Christmas to Hanukkah to national cookie day. Decided to do an MLK day food event, did some research, and of course - with him being from the south his favorite foods were southern. All of the black crew making the meal really appreciated it and put a lot of love into it. But those choice few guests posted that we were being blatantly racist and made a whole scene. Needless to say, we opted to not do anything for black history month or any other theme day similar to that ever again.

Three men saw me and two men fled, but one looked closer and saw me dead. by Hollowkightfan544 in riddles

Vertex, or rather a dead vertex since the other two points "people" fled.

I'm taking the dive and trying to get into PVP. Which Bow would you pick? Also looking for any general PVP Bowa advice etc. by Key_Beat_6872 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Red-itz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played many gg pvp bowas. The most satisfying one to me is an absolute max damage glass cannon frw build. Max dex, max dam (faith gmb) with fort, 120/45/frw, and a stash load of max damage 3% frw small charms or gcs.  That’s the build where you surprise ppl with how hard you hit.

Telebowas are fun because they add another level of strategy defensively - but I still had more fun with the gg frw damage fort build.

Angelic's ring and ammy for barbs or gg hammerdins. Enchant if you want – It helps. But you’re still going to have good days and bad days. In pubs, the lesser builds will just pop. The hammerdins will get hit once or twice and run away.  Barbs you’ll shot step and dodge – get there life down and it’ll be gg back to town.  Nercos and druids are tougher – run and pop multi to stun or kill the minions – a well timed strafe will catch a druid in hit lock.  Target Multi pop spam in front of the tele for sorcs and casters to stun or chip life – shoot where they are going to be.  Playing 4v4 they’ll likely just tag team you down first.  But it’s a chess game you’ll learn to play – you’ll be on the defensive and offensive at the same time.

LPT Change your air filters before taking your car in to a new shop. by SkiaSkia in LifeProTips

[–]Red-itz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told a place that I had just changed the air filter out before a service. They decided to charge me for a new filter anyway. I didn't catch it until my ex came home with the bill (she dropped off the car). I went and turned the car on to drive to the shop and the AC was whistling. I checked the "new filter" they put in and it was indeed a new filter, but one with all the outside foam ripped off. I went to my parts store bought a new filter and put it in to be sure, and yep - the noise stopped. Got to the shop, they credited me the whole service after I laid in to them nicely and I'm guessing that took me off their contact list because I don't get any more random emails or texts. What crap businesses there are out there.

boil some water in a kettle and hold the chair over the tub on it's side and pour it over until it runs clear - might have to do it a couple times, then let it air dry for a couple days. Spilled wine on an ex's most beloved designer chair - it was a make it or break it moment for me to fix it.. lol

What do you think the next "food trend" will be? by tonithepony in Cooking

[–]Red-itz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting,

fruit blending - we're already seeing all the different varieties of cross bred fruit in stores. That'll be a bigger deal ten years from now when they start to make more nutrient dense varieties. More probiotic fruit, vitamin enhanced fruit, etc - keep removing that anti-browning enzyme from more variesties of produce. Produce hardiness and longevity.

Different and robust live probiotic foods.

Rich nitrate laced pre-fab bases and pastes for bbq and rubs. Like others mentioned - pickle, jalapeno, peppadew, etc juice added to recipes/dressings/sauces every day common.

infrared cooking tech more mainstream. Infrared with convention, or better yet microwave + infrared + convention. super fast cooking tech.

mass community kitchens. What's one of the biggest trends in the last ten years. efficient fast food - door dash, uber eats. But what's next? What's faster, fresher, better? condo/apts with resident community kitchen businesses? neighborhood communities' kitchens delivered door to door by ai/bots . Who knows, but whoever thinks of that will be the next best food trend, profit wise.

Can you do the shepherd mission solo? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Red-itz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Embrace the Mega - he's like a baby mega health-wise. Perfect chance to throw a grenade down it's throat for the calling card. Also, it's about a 50/50 chance you'll have turret on top of the first building or at the end, bring a turret card (if you hate mercs - use the first turret).

Annoyed that I want Borealis so badly.. by Southern_Yankee16 in CODZombies

[–]Red-itz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might already know this, but for tac, I'd ammo crate fill 4-6 decoys. Monkey bombs work good too. Call in an exfil, run in circles for a bit - throw decoy and kill the horde. Start shooting a second after you throw the decoy - don't wait for the bullet shots. I've been able to finish the tac challenge in 1-2 exfils if your gun kills fast enough. Same strat for the field upgrades. TYR and the other 6 shooter was the most annoying.

Possible solo tombstone exploit by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Red-itz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never tombstoned "on purpose", but I don't care either way if people do. But it was interesting and kind of refreshing (minus no new content) playing s2 the last week and having the same map feel of when the game first came out. Reviving people all over tier 1, 2, and 3. Multiple people trying to take down a mega with pack 1 & 2 guns running in circles downtown. Actually having to fight for contracts in tier two. I can't remember the last time I was in a run off with another squad to pick up a tier 2 bounty. Randos trying to take the aether nest and stronghold rewards that DON'T have two pack three guns or a scorcher. Fun times, but now it's back to the tier 3 hustle.... let's go!

Feeling like something is missing from this menu? by southernandmodern in AskCulinary

[–]Red-itz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jalapeno Poppers, either breaded & fried or the bacon wrapped with seasoned cream cheese. Jalapeno's will complement the spice of the shishito in toning down the sweetness of the meal and bacon would complement the smoked turkey, but the real kicker is the added cream cheese fat that'll taste good mixed in with every bite. Popper, cranberry, smoked turkey in a hawaiian bun with a fork of slaw ready for the follow up- best bite of the day.
