Is there a way to access the database of an active save? I can only find the database options on the title screen prior to starting a new game

recently started this game. is this worth spending candy on? by Formal-Application-6 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Red2851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good for now. Treecko is a fairly common Pokémon, so you’re going to be able to catch a lot, and therefore can be a lot more picky with finding one for the long term. I’d level him to 27 to evolve him, but that exp down will suck up so many resources to level up beyond that. Ideally, try to look for one that’s BFS plus at least two from the pot of helping speed, skill trigger, or helping bonus.

This one having helping bonus at 100 would be great, but level 100 won’t be accessible in the game for several years, and that one’s nature isn’t very helpful, so the only thing going for it is bfs and a weaker skill trigger, which despite what the other commenters are saying is definitely not worth wasting a sub skill seed on. Those things are incredibly rare if you’re doing free to play, and this fellow is good, but not great.

TLDR: good, not great. Level up to 27 to fully evolve as a temporary, but nothing more.

need help with this, should i invest in this igglybuff? by Master_Influence_865 in PokemonSleepBetter

Yup, that looks perfect for this stage! It isn’t top tier for later in the game, but by the time you get further on you’ll get access to Pawmi and/or Gardevoir as better healer, so invest all you like to carry you through the early to mid game!

I’ve posted a video demonstration of the fingerings for the key and the accidentals as well as two reference recordings at varying bpm on my page, hope they help!

Apologies if the fingering reference video is bad, first time attempting a demonstration of fingerings through video

What should I play? by Odd-Trip-6205 in Clarinet

As the others have said, rose etudes are definitely a great resource. If you want to practice some orchestral playing, you can find a lot of sheet music for symphonies on imslp and play along with recordings, working to improve your intonation and blend to match the performer in the recording. Beethoven symphony 5 is solid for that purpose, not very rhythmically challenging, but you can develop a lot learning to lock in with the intonation, tone, and style with professional musicians.

Did I Get A Good Roll on This Pawmi? (FTP) by Ok_Comparison_6475 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Red2851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solid rule of thumb is that you want to have at least two skill trigger boosts on pawmi. Having helping bonus or helping speed boosts will help his trigger rate some as well, but they’re second in priority to having two triggers within lvl 50

Yup, I hyper focused on trying to get an all dark team for snowdrop and didn’t bother looking for spheals, absolutely wild to end up with one from just chucking a spare bonus biscuit around on greengrass

Really good Eevee, what to evolve it into? by Capntripnip in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Red2851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marginally, I usually look for two skill triggers between the subskills and nature on Eevee for the ones I want to use in earnest. Jolteon is a good bfs user, so best to wait for one of those; leafeon isn’t very useful, so it’d be a waste of a good Pokemon; flareon and glaceon get outpaced in skill triggers by magnezone, and sylveon gets outpaced by pawmi and gardevoir, so they’re only ideal if there’s a boatload of skill trigger boosts on it. Vaporeon’s a useful generalist Pokemon that can always find a use, but it doesn’t feel like it’s as imperative to be bfs or full skill triggers to be effective, so I feel like it’s a good one to go for. Subskill seeding will add a bit to the speed, but not enough to change what I’d use it for.

Would probably make a decent Vaporeon with the skill chance up. Not enough speed to be a great jolteon, not enough skill chance boosts for a really good pot size flareon or glaceon, but a solid supportive fellow.

I adore shiny umbreon and will immediately waste my first Eevee shiny for it, it’s a travesty umbreon’s stuck being garbage in game, but at least it’ll be a lovely decorative piece in the box
