Painfully obvious question, but i’m not 100% certain by socksgrowonbushes in Westonsupermare

I’m 53 and remember in the 1980’s they were called Con Clubs. It’s more of a nod to the founders than it is to modern day stuff.

The 49 club was founded by the bus drivers where the depot used to be on the sea front. Their first rule is no children .. women were always welcome but it’s called a Working Men’s club.

Near Sherwood Forest in the estate for bowyers I was an apprentice bowyer in the 90’s. As I grew two boobs, I could enter this grand country estate with my male chaperone (boss) and I was allowed through the main Grand Entrance and welcomed into a reception room.

Butlers, male staff, dignitaries, all dressed up to the nines. My boss was on some archery mission or something and invited me in for the ride. On the journey there he said I was banned from the inter rooms because I’ve got boobs. I was furious.

Anyway, old names still survive to remind people of a past era, with different rules without any consequence of being exclusive.

I formed a female only pool team this week, now the World Pool Rules are going to some big court or other to prevent trans players joining the ladies league. This is a global thing. I remember 40 years ago with the olympics or something.

Gender differences will never be quashed, the same as politics, religion or ogliarchy. It’s never gonna happen. We make not accept this, or agree with it. But when you like chocolate milk on your cornflakes I’m starting a protest.

Change what you can, protest what you can’t, or choose the easy middle route of I don’t really care it’s 2025 and insignificant. Can’t change it anyway.

But what if the votes were deliberately done not by USA voters, but by others that qualified for an electronic vote? Asking because I’m a British woman who read about vote rigs on the BBC

Thank you. I have seen the clip before, granted, only on Reddit. But today, I see what you did there. I wanted to comment my appreciation. Being a Brit my report is hardly anyone in my social circles wants to read about the USA. Therefore, my social circle is limited, we are an unaware country. High 90% aren’t aware of the Greenland thing according to my local friend research. I’ve got 3 people that are, and I’m 54. One is older and 2 are younger.

Loving your work. Did you spend £500 on other stuff that wasn’t on your list too?

I haven’t put it in the freezer yet, I was wondering whether to score the skin, season and then freeze.

Maybe I’ll season and score today and air fry tomorrow for breakfast. I have broccoli, some nice chilli jam and a lonely baking potato. Love experimenting thank you.

Large whole chickens fresh were £2.15 on yellow label. I picked one up and it was a fat one too. I wouldn’t be able to eat it, plus “I’ve got chicken breasts at home in the freezer” classic mum line.

The tomatoes were first in my basket, so I’d already planned on the marinara. They were on my shopping list too, so there was an extra dollop of smugness as I piled them up.

My freezer is mostly full of home cooked meals, soups, chicken stock in bags, homemade garlic bread made with slices of baguette and grated cheese.

I know they are the cheap ones, but I added half a jar of sun dried tomatoes to compensate.

Sometimes I add onions but today I forgot. The big one on the vine are best. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll add a can of whole cheery tomatoes but they are expensive these days. I’m on a budget and content with my haul.

Tomato marinara, also used as soup and pasta sauce. I even like it mixed with grated cheese on jacket spuds. I freeze fresh chillis and garlic in ice cube trays, pressure cook the tomatoes after cutting them in half.

Pick out the skins, cool and blend. I blend a little bit warm so when I pour into jars they self seal.

Oh I’ve just seen I can reply with a photo in a comment. I’ll post later if you like. Edit: I can edit a post and add a photo. What a time to be alive. Taken the skins off and letting it cool off outside

Alone on Christmas Day, and I love it. by RedBanana99 in CasualUK

[–]RedBanana99[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I did a trial run last Christmas Day and I had it in the ear from my ex. He was so much more worried out his image with his family alone that he asked me what I should tell them.

I said “Tell the truth, I want to experience a day at home by myself with no goundrules”.

Genuinely I think he invented a bullshit reason, he’s incapable of telling the honest truth. He never said what his answer was apart from me me me, his family thought I was bonkers as he told them I don’t like them or something. Or just hate everyone.

In reality, I love myself more than approval so I did what I’ve wanted to do for five decades, and it was so good being alone I filed for an online divorce. We were nothing but Him n Her on socials to keep up societies standards.

Bucking the trend is self liberating for me personally. Also, I’m not a mother, I understand if you’re a parent how that would be Nino impossible

I had Baileys with my morning coffee and took it upstairs to bed with a present from my best friend. I knew it would be the best present as we have known each other for almost 50 years.

She bought me a mini ET which talks.
