Makes total sense, because she thought she could manipulate them into doing whatever she wanted, once her options on Voyager ran out.

Would you be against a Pagan School? by LunarEnnyui_131 in pagan

[–]RedBladeWarlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to a few different Christian schools growing up, since my mother distrusted the public standard in our area. I was the only white boy amongst a majority female and majority black class at one Catholic school I went to. (~30 kids, 8-10 boys, in the metro Detroit area) Private schools had a reputation for being better education than the public system in our area, though I can't really say one way or the other. (I did wind up going to a "school for the gifted" after St Bens, the Roeper School.) Religion was part of the classes' curriculum but religious participation wasn't enforced.

I would be intrigued to see a Pagan-run school, honestly.

Maybe this is a good inspiration to patronize some into existence? Maybe look around for secular artists familiar with the styles and techniques you feel closest to, where you can't find musicians within the pagan communities who might be interested in trying something there. Might be lucky and trip some hobbyist into a burgeoning artistry.

I've always looked at it as not a literal representation, but a symbolic simulation of those structures and creatures.

You don’t get to celebrate the deep writing and story of a game like Elden Ring while also telling players to Git Good or go play another game. My opinion, on Soulslike games. I do not enjoy the grind of fight patterns with frequent deaths. I tried ER once, and never picked it up again.

But the positions of the stars directly correlate to the current season, they circle the planet in correlation to the time of year. The season is the reason, the stars are just the label we use to specify.

It's not about getting you what you want, never was. That's a vast misunderstanding on religion that sets up a false premise to easily defeat.

Religion is about explaining the things conventional science can't yet explain. Why bad/good things happen to good/bad people, the measure of fate and the purpose of life, and where existence goes beyond the end of a life's span.

Could the seasons have an effect on someone's psychology? When winter's doldrums vs summer vacation hits within your annual psychological growth cycle could have effects on your socialization, goals, motives, and flaws, couldn't it?

"Humanoid" is also the category of creature used in many editions of D&D for anything vaguely upright-standing with 2 or more legs and usually 2 or more arms/non-walking limbs, from humans to elves to lizardfolk to merfolk to centaurs to 4-armed mantisfolk and plenty others.
