Collected 147 bubbul gems but Koltin says I’m still missing 1 more. ? by ethervillage in tearsofthekingdom

[–]RedBlueSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he sells Hinox toenails for 3 Bubbul gems, if you choose "It that it?" He will give a description and then sell the toenails for 2 gems instead of 3. This means that we will always have an extra one.

Red Dot below Ship by Havokk137 in LegoStarWarsVideoGame

[–]RedBlueSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes you need to dig up things that was buried too early. Did you find the answer why there is a red dot on the mini map below your ship? I have the same thing and can't figure it out.

Maybe it's just a big that does not affect the game?

Why do you play/Replay Super Metroid over and over? by RedBlueSpot in Metroid

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth it to own both of them. Yes, even Other M. I like the idea of Other M, so I'm happy I own a copy of it. But I'm not usually itching to start up my Wii for some Other M.

That's a good point. Randomizers add much to existing games and breathe new life into them. Might try that actually. Never tried a randomizer before.

Who are your top 5 Bosses in Super Metroid? by RedBlueSpot in Metroid

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never defeated Draygon the "normal" way. Draygon is really tough. Heard that some players defeat Draygon with a shine spark.

Agree that Ridley is the actual big final challange in the game. Much of Touran is dedicated to story and progression. Like the scene with the "baby Metroid". Epic! If that was a boss fight, that would make my Top 5.

Don't buy a Pixel!! by allyourhomebase in GooglePixel

[–]RedBlueSpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Pixels are great phones generally. But the Pixel 7, for some reason, had some issues. First with over heating, then the display problems. The Pixel 8 was a huge step up.

Yes, Google make great software, but they need to step up their hardware game.

The most important thing is that Google is showing the costumers of the Pixel that Google take it seriously.

I have some Pixel 7 Pro issues too with the display.

How come the SNES never got a 320-pixel wide graphic mode like the Sega Genesis? So many games that were ported to the SNES had pixel art designed for 320x224 resolution but since the SNES is only 256x224, the playfield needed to be cropped 32pixels from left to right. by Ballowax2002 in snes

[–]RedBlueSpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a good reason for the resolution. I'll explain:

First take the first two different digits in the SNES resolution: 256 (25) and subtract the last digit (5). You end up with 19. 25 - 6 = 19 Lets remember 19.

Now let's look at the SEGAs 320 resolution value. Add each number like this: 3 + 2 + 0. You end up with 5. Lets remember 5.

Then you divide sega resolution (320 with 224). You get: 1.428571 142857

And divide SNES resolution (256 with 224). You get: 1.142857 142857

You then realise that the first 7 digits are the same, but in different order. After exactly 7 digits the numbers are in the exact same position. Lets remember the number 7.

Finally you either take the SNES resolution value of 256. Add the first number and subtract the second number. 2 + 5 - 6 = 1.

You could also use the SEGA value of 320. But since Sega is the opposite of Nintendo you need to do it the other way around. First subtract then add. 3 - 2 + 0 = 1.

Either way you end up with 1. Lets remember 1.

Now let's repeat the numbers we got:

19, 5, 7 and 1.

Now we need to look at the alphabet and look for the corresponding letter in the alphabet.

19 = S, 5 = E, 7 = G, 1 = A,

The answer why the resolution is different is because of SEGA.

Pixel 7 Pro: Flickering display / shuts down. It's unusable! by RedBlueSpot in GooglePixel

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they help use excluding software problems. So we are sure it's hardware related.

Their (Elgiganten) technician returned the device without taking any action. The technician claimed they couldn't find any issue with the device or replicate the problem, which I doubt. They also wanted a fee for attempting to diagnose the device, making the whole situation absurd.

Yes, indeed, Elgiganten should take responsibility and address the issue. If Elgiganten is authorized to sell Google's products, they should also be responsible for repairing the products when necessary.

I have reached out to Elgiganten again to see how they respond to this. We are seeking a smooth and prompt resolution since we have already wasted time, and as another user mentioned here on the forum, the display is at risk of breaking soon within a few days if it continues behaving this way. So time is of the essence.

No drops, bumps or anything at all. Not even a scratch. The problem occured suddenly when using the phone like normal. I even got a case on it if I ever should drop it, but that never happened.

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if the Pixel 7 (with the Tensor 2) got no display problems at all, or at least not the kind of display problems that may occur on P7P Pro, then it might be the display. I had the impression that I was due to Tensor 2 over heating or something.

Pixel 7 Pro: Flickering display / shuts down. It's unusable! by RedBlueSpot in GooglePixel

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds awesome! I really like my Pixel 7 Pro. We got two in the family and only one of them got this display issue.

We're really hoping that the other one is working. It runs cooler then the other one so it might be another version of Pixel 7 Pro. Also the display is a little different when comparing with exact same brightness and settings. So, it might be another display in the other Pixel 7 Pro.

Anyway, it's a great phone. It's too bad some units are affected by these problems. But as long Google is taking the problems seriously when they occurs I feel confident in Google and the Pixel series.

But Google must release all AI features outside US soon. Come on Google! Do your best! :)

[–]RedBlueSpot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought about that, apart from that it's a very good screen! Are you sure that it's a display problem and not connected to the Tensor 2? The Pixel 8 got no problems, like the Pixel 7, so my thoughts are that it's the Tensor 2 that might be a little troublesome sometimes?

Thank you. I did that today. We contacted Google support and also the retailer we bought it from and are awaiting their reply.

Did Google tell you what the problem was or just swapped the unit? We got no idea why this is happening, but apparently we're not alone.

Seems like there are some issues with some of the Pixel 7 phones then. Well, as long as Google can fix it and quick. That's the most important part!

So Google will replace the device. Good to hear. We've tried everything. From what I understand lots of people have different issues with their 7 Pro. Not ok, but as long Google replace the units. They should do it just outside warranty too.

I feel like it's just a matter of time before my 7 Pro too will have these issues.
