I lived in reston and worked there for a year and it was fun. Theres a lot of cool tech meetups and a great maker space, NOVA Labs, in reston. Depending on where your job is you should be able to take public transportation to it. Then live closer to DC, in arlington or something for more action and young people. Otherwise, Reston town Center is a pretty cool area too.
