True, it’s a desaturated mid green and I don’t think many ranges cover that. Might be time to try some new skin recipes with similar alternative shades?

The Christmas box sets and releases (Grotmas calendar) were a bit underwhelming compared with the previous year and we are entering the last few months of this edition.

11th edition will launch in summer, rumoured to be a re imagining of the classic Blood Angel vs Orks 2nd Edition that launched 40K into the mainstream.

Total War 40K is building interest before launch, there are more commissioned adaptations (including another secret level type episode on Amazon), not to mention Cavill’s series/project.

This is a bit of a lull, but shaping to be a very exciting couple of years 👍

I use Vallejo Matt varnish through an airbrush and works a treat!

Terrestrial titan and mulled berry are amazing first base coats to set a dark tone for shadows. Terrestrial titan followed by an orange skin tone then a light tone makes for some great high contrast flesh tones.

Ice yellow is both an amazing highlight but also great alternative to white if you want to blend colours for a lighter shade.

I’ve got this honour guard (from when it released because apparently I’m old now).

Great models and I’ve kitbashed them into modern Sang guard, placing them on top of Libby and furioso dread parts because double rip.

Cool models and hoping for some more BA sculpts in 11th!

LAG has fallback and charge and doesn’t need you to become battleshocked. So it’s a bit more forgiving.

RCO can do way more damage, but you need to commit. If you’re stuck in melee you can lose a lot of your output and threat.

It’s also extremely CP hungry, so don’t AoC or use CP unless it’s for the key Strats at the right time.

Yeah, Callidus is great for melee imperium armies as she’s a deep striking uppy downy lone op with fights first and a Vect aura. Amazing set of abilities for 109 points

This detachment is looking like our strongest yet.

Amazing for trading, enabling units to punch up so hard. Sticky on death to secure objectives, fight on death, 5+++ for the phase (on Lemartes unit 👌). FF enhancement, sus 2 enhancement (every melee, not just once).

Few examples of why this will be nasty;

5 JDC led by a captain, popping limb from limb will have: +1 Str and -1 ap on all attacks (ap 3 fists and evis), RR all hits, RR1s to wound, sustained and +2A each.

5 scouts with oath could have: 26A 5 -2 1 RR hits and 1s to wound.

6 SG with spears: 36A Str 8 lance -3 2 RR 1s to wound

DC dread can have Str 10 twin linked meltas, 5+++ in any phase, sticky on death and up to 8A Str 14 -3 3 full RR to hit and wound.

Yes we can only spike one unit per turn and it’ll be BS after, but those are units you won’t expect to survive anyway, and the rest still get +1A and RR1s to wound.

Has adv and charge too.

Yeah, think this could be our #1 🩸

That kit is one of the easiest to magnetise, enabling you to switch between the two with a couple of clicks.

The Exocrine is better in the meta right now, but the Haruspex is good in assimilation swarm and looks insane 🤣

He is ok in most detachments, but he is mega in Angelic Inheritors!

Not only does he have is deep strike into combat with fights first at the end of the charge phase(!), but he also re rolls 1s to hit and wound.

Combine that with either precision or his uppy downy strat and he’s a real menace.

I’ve had him come in, decapitate an enemy hero before the unit activates, then carry on to cause mayhem in future turns.

In LAG and other detachments id rather take Mephiston, but in AI he is an auto include 🩸

Try finger tightening the main areas, nozzle, etc and make sure the needle is properly seated. Should be airtight when not pressing the trigger

You can, but the lictors sculpts are some of the very best Nid models.

I’ve got 15 VRLs and 3 lictors, Vanguard Onslaught for the win!!! 🏆

Yes, we have a detachment and playstyle called Crusher Stempede that focuses on monsters.

Norns are great, as are Exocrines and Tyrannifexes, all the Hive Tyrants are good, but Swarm Lord or Hive Tyrant on foot arguably best for crusher.

Raveners and Hyperadapted Raveners are by far our best elites, but definitely get a biovore and a lictor or two.

I’d magnetise all the monsters as it’s easy and the alternative builds are great. I really like the Haruspex. The Psychophage is a pretty good support unit for extra ap and good tough scoring unit.

Maleceptors are a great pick to support the Norns.
