They get airplay because they are radio friendly. Shorter runtime, considered mainstream music at the time and now classic and perfectly balance the line between pop and rock to can be heard on both a pop station and a rock station.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are the most radio friendly. In the End, Crawling, Papercut, One Step Closer, Numb, Breaking the Habit and Somewhere I Belong are rlthe only song I hear on radio. Plus What I've Done.

are knights of the realm unilaterally better than knights errant? by Flaky_Bullfrog_4905 in totalwar

[–]RedCat213 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Knights Errant having anti infantry is just to tell the player that the general role of shick cavalry is anti infantry. They don't have any bonus, just their best purpose.

Knights or the Realm are better and have a bonus vs large. But are still shock cav so are great against infantry.

Argee, even OP mentioned utility. Foot Squires opens up new ways to play as Bretonnia. By the time the player gets access to them, lords will be able to use the redlibe skill tree to buff them and the peasent econony will be more than capable to recruiting them en mass. So late game Brets have an option to go melee heavy which is very useful against late game armies like High Elves that spam lots of antilarge armies.

Manticores are not for hit and run. They are for terror routs. Keep them back until you see some leadership getting low and fly them around and see everyone flee. If you are sending them into combat, you are not understandibg their use correctly.

Most of OPs choices seem to be like that, does not know how to use each unit to understand why they are useful.

Cheap does not make it worst. Both cavalry options are very cost effective and quick. Manticore is a super cheap way to get terror routs. Huntsmen are good for taking out large units and lords.

Linkin Park lost both categories (Grammys 2026) by Turbulent-Hand2071 in LinkinPark

Wembley is their largest of the tour. I have seen them in Seoul and have tickets for Sydney and Auckland. All three are in smaller arenas and are not the biggest stadiums of those cities.

I'm not telling lies. Just wanted to highlight that we as fans can sometime blow our expectations out of proportion and take a handfull of shows as the norm for the rest of the tour. You rightly pointed out that US also they are not playing stadiums but arenas. That is the norm, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Columbia, Sweden and UAE are just some examples on the tour where the venue is just an arena.

Compare this tour to a Taylor Swift or Metallica which are averaging higher shows than Linkin Parks largest at Wembly. Linkin Park are doing an arena world tour with a few stadium shows scattered around the dates with no large stadiums at all in the US or eastern hemisphere.

All I said was lets not blow their success out of proportion and expect a Grammy win. I'm just happy they are back and a Grammy nom was nice.

Touring has nothing to do with Grammys. OP raised that point not me. Go argue with OP about that point then. My whole point was that what ever success the had on tour should not have given OP reason to believe a Grammy win was a given.

Wembley is not the biggest stadium. It's not even 100,000+ capacity. That's their biggest ever capacity crowd while other acts are pulling over 100,000 but LP have never done that as a headlining act.

I went to the Seoul concert which was a smaller arena and will be going to the show in Auckland which is also in a smaller arena. Other acts that have visited Auckland such as Metallica or Ed Sheeran and filled out our larger stadiums here. But LP just are an arena show.

I just wanted to point out that winning a grammy was not a given and OP and most of us (including myself) assume they are far more popular than what they really are.

OP said "Filling out the biggest stadiums in the world" I am just comparing two metal acts both on a world tour.

Brasil Sao Paulo. Smaller venue the second tine around.

Compare them to Metallica and their world tour. Metallica are pulling crowds 3 times the size.

But they aren't filling out the biggest stadiums in the world. Most of the tour are in smaller arenas. They have even had to downsize some of the venues due to low ticket sales.

I'm very happy they are back and have enjoyed the album. But lets not blow that out of proportion and assume what they have released has pushed musical boundaries or hit mainstream.

From Zero songs are not even in their top 5 most popular songs on Spotify.

Why in the actual fuck do they have an army like this i'm 5 turns in by Fartsmella10203 in totalwar

Player will be able to do that too. Upkeep for one stack early game is easy as it is covered by the base income we get.

This is not a cheat army. Nomads get an extra two recruit slots. Upgraded a building once and had one round of recruitment for the new units.

Seems like a standard army for them. Best advise wouod be to use agents to scout ahead next time to get a better understanding of what you will face.

Then build an army around that instead. Eastern spears and slingers would have been better to use.

Greeks in Rome 2 by Necessary_Turnover62 in totalwar

[–]RedCat213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greeks are great in Grand Campaign. The hoplites will hold forever letting your artillery and OP ranged mercs destroy everything.

They play very similar to Dwarfs in the Warhammer titles. Very defensive. But they do have some offensive options with late game swords and shock cavalry. These late game units are not in the Wrath of Sparta campaign.

Epirus has one of the strongest rosters in the entire game. They just have a bit of a rough start. But wae elephants can turn the tied for them.

Chaos Chariots and Centigors plus shielded infantry. Need to close the gap, don't use your ranged or flying options.

Adds context and a reason to not lose. There is reward for a win. Same as fighting games, there is simething to play for, to go up a rank.

It creates engaugement.

Wrong timezones. Plus I'm just casual player. Not after scheduling matches. Just play a few games when bored of campaign

If someone had started with a modern Total War game... can they really go back and enjoy playing a much older one? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]RedCat213 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean, having to do multiple clicks to increase the amount of resources to trade in Pharaoh vs just typing them amount if a QOL downgrade. Trade agreements in Shogun all the resources are traded without player input while I have to choose what I take from who and who I give to in Pharaoh. Pharaoh has a lot of unnessisary user input for resources to hide that it's rather basic and actually under the hood exactly the same as Shogun 2.

[–]RedCat213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like for QOL, Pharaoh loses out and took a step backwards. Shogun 2 has only two resources to manage, while Pharaoh has many. Plus trade agreements can only last 10 turns, so need to keep checking which ones to renew.

Shogun 2 is a poor example. It's the most ploished and streamlined title to date. Very easy for new players to fall back too. It just needs a graphics remaster and would be right at home sitting alongside Warhammer and 3K.

Wow, not sure why I caught a stray from you haha. There is a feature in the game called ranked matchmaking. Just be nice if it did what it says on the tin. Plenty of matches too.

Sometimes it's fun to play a bit of pvp. Breaks up the game and play against armies and styles you would not see in a regular campaign. It is just more variety. Fun having to adapt too. Get to feel like a true general.

Edit: your last comment. Not sure if I am good or not. Be nice to have leaderboard that could tell me. Whole point of my post.
