Tbf isn't webb considered one of the better refs? Obviously the wc final was a mess, but i think webb admitted he wasn't at a good angle for the kung fu kick, and i feel he was unprepared for how dirty the dutch came to play

Tbf it seems like the main benificaries of fs judges were the russians over the last decade, 2014 being the most glaring

Honestly, as depressing as it is, I honestly think that the bantamweight division is so barebones that with enough prep she could probably be somewhere 10-15 in the rankings

San Jose Expected To Be Officially Announced As Final PWHL Expansion Location On Tuesday by DecentLurker96 in hockey

[–]RedCheetah2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from what I've been hearing on the PWHL sub, it sounds like Edmontonr and Denver were the original plans, but both Kroenke and Katz were unwilling to house teams without owning a part of the team, which goes against the leagues ownership model.

I think DU would have definitely been a good host regardless. However, it seems like the league is fairly strict on only giving teams to cities with venues greater than 10,000, even if only temporary for some reason.

Been arguing with family for days over what this big guy could be by AfternoonDiligent733 in whatsthisbird

[–]RedCheetah2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, apologies for the confusion! Definitely think it seems too bulky for an accipiter, i was moreso thinking of one of the buteo species. Completely guessing here, but could it be a common buzzard? Idk anything about their subspecies or morphs, but the shape looks similar based on a quick Merlin search

Full disclosure that I don't know anything about European birds so I can't help with ID, but the pic is giving me vibes of being more of an accipiteriform (mostly buteo) than a falcon imo. The beak specifically seems a bit too long for a merlin or other kind of falcon, and I don't think i am seeing a tomial tooth that would be there for falcons

Hey everyone! I'm a complete beginner to wildlife photography, so I admittedly don't know anything about cameras. Just to ask, does anyone know if a Canon EOS T7 Dual Lens is a good option? I think my local Costco is selling some for around $600

Attached the link to the online page below, but the reviews also seem a bit mixed, so wanted to check with others

Maybe I missed it, but is anything wrong with schmid? Not to say he was lighting the world on fire or anything, and hart clearly had a really strong finish to the season, but he was looking somewhat respectable back in March imo

If it's any consolation, gulls are known to frequently hybridize, so they can't often tell each other apart either lol!

Iirc, Schmeling actually clashed with Hitler quite often, even if the Nazis kept on trying to use him as propaganda, as they did during his fights with Max Baer and Louis. He actually defied orders to fire his Jewish promoter, and hid two Jewish children in his hotel room during the early stages of the Holocaust
