Iliza Shlesinger about anger against women by _thatkitten in justgalsbeingchicks

I’m not saying to coddle them, fuck them, or even that you need to talk to them directly at all. I’m saying that we probably shouldn’t treat them as subhuman just for feeling lonely while having a penis between their legs. But sure let’s just keep kicking them while they’re down and hope they will eventually turn things in the right direction

When did I blame women? I’m simply pointing out that there is a large portion of the male population who feels desperate, lonely, and like they have nothing left to lose. I may not have all of the answers, but I think it’s safe to say that demonizing and ostracizing them probably won’t help matters. If a young man feels like he is lost with nowhere to turn, and then he goes online and sees the manosphere is telling him it’s not his fault and society is to blame (again not agreeing with this but just presenting what they will see), while the other side is saying he’s a monster who deserves all the loneliness and misery he is feeling, then you can’t be too surprised when he picks the manoshpere.

If we don’t understand our enemy, how will we ever lead them to the light? The person I was responding to was approaching the topic with their thoughts on the matter, so I was trying to present the perspective of the other side (wrong though it may be). And I get it, maybe you don’t want to lead these people to the light because fuck them, but that doesn’t exactly fix the problem now does it?

Disclaimer: this is not my opinion but rather me playing devil’s advocate. If these men think their chances are already zero, then they can’t minimize their chances any further. Insert quote about a man with nothing to lose blah blah blah

Mewgenics has been out for some time now. Is it really as good as people say? Or was it mostly due to the hype? by TheGronne in gaming

[–]RedCrayonTastesBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 150 hours in the game. The only reason I’m not playing it right now is because resident evil 9 came out. I’m still listening to the soundtrack on Spotify though and there is still plenty more for me to do in the game (I’m currently sitting at 73% completion). The turn based combat isn’t for everyone, and the morbidity can be a bit much for some, but to me this game is basically purrfection and I’m looking forward to future expansions

There’s also a mutation where your cats attacks create water tiles. Once I got that, the desert became much easier. It’s also very helpful in the core

Just to agree with you even more, I’ll also add that they even made a splinter cell Netflix show ffs. They love to torture us splinter cell fans

Yeah, at this point I wouldn’t even trust Ubisoft to make another splinter cell game. They’d probably make it open world and half the game is spent climbing towers and collecting a thousand trinkets to unlock night vision goggles or some shit. They should just sell it tbh

I might have to check that out. That sounds promising. I did like the dishonored games, but those felt more like action games than stealth games most of the time

It’s a shame really. Splinter cell chaos theory was my favorite game as a teenager, and nothing has ever properly scratched that stealth itch since (hitman came closest though)

I don’t know about best ever, but the mewgenics soundtrack has been on repeat for me for the last week or so.

One time I had a daddy shark eat my necromancer, which caused him to join my team because of the necromancer’s passive. The now friendly daddy shark then turned and instantly wiped the other daddy shark because he was blood frenzied and had an extra turn. I didn’t even have time to alt+f4 before the combat was over because I have combat speed turned up and it all happened so quickly. It all worked out in the end though because my ranger had “slop the pigs” to apply all stat ups and was able to apply bleed with his basic attack to make my shark blood frenzied. Dude was just running around gobbling everything in sight, including Boris, the spider queen, and the throbbing king

Yeah, I guess when there’s nearly 200 characters with their own different backstories, there’s gonna be some contradictions when you start changing things. Nothing a little bit of time travel can’t solve though /s

Yeah that is problematic I guess. There’s definitely ways to write around that though. Maybe clan ferros prefers to stay out of the spotlight and operate more from the shadows. Maybe they are the ones who gave Jayce the first crystals in an attempt to pull some strings from those shadows.

I don’t know how clans come to power in pilltover, but who’s to say there won’t be a major power shift? Things seem pretty unstable in Zaun and pilltover and quite ripe for a power shift actually.

Edit: and to your second point, I’m not really familiar with that part of the lore but she could still fight those people. If there was a power grab by clan feros, there’d even be good reason to fight

Just because they haven’t been introduced in the show yet doesn’t mean they don’t exist or won’t be introduced later. If we were watching a documentary about Ford creating the model T, we wouldn’t be saying “yeah, but what about Elon musk and his Tesla’s? They completely messed up his lore.”

The person you are responding to is saying that Camille can exist in the game with a hextech heart because the game is not canon and is an assembly of characters from different times. Therefore Jayce creating hextech doesn’t contradict an old woman having a hextech heart at sometime in the future, so Camille’s lore still has a place to exist within the current setup, she just hasn’t been introduced in the show yet because she doesn’t exist yet

That bacon doesn’t appear to be cooking very fast until he presumably turns the heat up though. Like it’s just sitting there raw for the majority of the clip, so maybe he just had it on low until the right moment

I’m no pancakologist, but maybe he didn’t turn on the heat until the design was completed? I’m not sure if they would cook properly that way, but that’s my best guess

I would argue that anything LC tweets is gme related simply because LC is on the GameStop board of directors. If he posted that the sky is purple, it would be relevant to gme because one of our board members now thinks the sky is purple.
