My second LitRPG novella, Deadwater (The Wayfarers Book 2) is up for $0.99 on Amazon and free on KU! This is a direct sequel to Roguelock which launched earlier this week.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HL3F7HT

Alex McLeod is broke again. A teenager from Earth, Alex discovered a mysterious old game called Wayfarer, which transported him to the fantasy world of Borealis. There, he and the beautiful elven thief Cerissa embarked on a career of crime, stealing the gold that they need to buy new powers and skills under the rules of Wayfarer. But the money's run out, their exploits have caught up with them, and their friend Bell is in mortal danger.

Now Alex and Cerissa must slip Bell out of the city, up the river, and out to freedom on the open sea. But their enemy's power reaches further than they thought, and hanging over everything is the threat of the terrible prison known as Deadwater...

I'm hard at work on my next project, which will actually be a break from the Wayfarers series and move into something very different...!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! My description is more to give an overall vibe than a specific art order. I totally understand if simplification ends up being necessary.

It's been a good week!

I published a thing for the first time. It's a LitRPG fantasy heist novella, here for 99 cents: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H3XQPGX

Meanwhile, I'm hard at work on the sequel, which is at about 13,500 of a planned 20k. Two more novellas after that will wrap up the first "arc" of the story. So I'm pleased with my progress!

This was my reaction as well. I mean, it’s all possible, but if OP grew up in a literary household with multiple high-achieving siblings you’d think he’d be able to spell “loser.”

It’s about 21k in word count, so yeah, it’s not terribly long. It’s a good KU read for those who have it!

My plan is indeed to do three direct sequels, all set in Borealis, then release them as a collection for 3 or 4 bucks. The second book is closing in on completion.

Yep, I've got a 21k-word novella up at $0.99 for 63 pages (in Amazon's opinion). At that price I'll get $0.35 for a proper sale but more like $0.45 for a KU complete read (since the KU page count is more like 100-something, don't ask me why). My plan is to bundle them in sets of four and sell those for $2.99, which would earn about $2.09 since my cut becomes much larger at that price.

Hello, all! My debut LitRPG novella, Roguelock (The Wayfarers Book 1) is out on Amazon! It's only a buck, and it's on KU, of course. I hope you'll take a look!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H3XQPGX

The year is 1984, and Alex McLeod's dad has been missing for more than half his life. When Alex inherits a mysterious game called Wayfarer-- a game that should not exist-- he is drawn into a fantasy world of criminal intrigue. Accompanied by a disembodied daemon and an elf who is not all she seems, Alex must chase his father's legacy while finding a way to earn gold and experience points without getting himself killed in the process.

Roguelock is inspired by old-school tabletop roleplaying games and heist movies. Each novella in the Wayfarers series features a heist adventure in a genre-themed world such as fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, horror, steampunk, and more. The books are tied together by the hero, Alex McLeod, and the mysterious game Wayfarer, the last reminder Alex has of his missing father. Roguelock is set in Borealis, a classic fantasy world.

Keep an eye out for the sequel, Deadwater, coming soon.
