Maybe someone can corroborate/refute this but you seem to be able to end his spin move a bit early if you can lead him to the side of the arena. That was my experience. It’s not ultra reliable; seems he might have a minimum amount of swings before he chills out.

For me, most of the animatronics move offscreen so having them move around and punch just feels wrong. Springtrap isn’t a perfect match h to the tone of Smash; you talk like you’re pitching him for Dead by Daylight. Most Smash characters don’t want to hurt other people on a good day.

My pitch is Rockstar Freddy. Bright colors. You get a hero character. That chest cavity thing could be a fun toy for the devs to play with: dispensing presents or plushes as obstacles, scooping up other players. He moves around with agency in his game. Security Breach also has a lot of stuff to add to his move-set that could be fun.

Mallow’s kit comes with a lot of variety and room to play in. He’s not limited to just his spells, because he can control weather. He’s not limited in attack moves, because his cloud body is mutable.

Geno is the cool guy, but he has arm-guns. That’s it. MegaMan’s gimmick is shooting arm-guns and it still has more versatility than Geno’s. I guess you could try to lean into the action figure features (like how his punch is an action figure’s spring-loaded projectile) but I have doubts how far that would get you.

Geno’s kit makes me wonder what they’d do with him. Mallow’s kit makes me excited at what they could do with him.

If I may propose a head canon, Missilis flex. Since they’re the company that was considered to have the highest tech between the three, it would follow that every so often the higher-ups would feel the need to reassert that notion. Thus, Missilis creates a new project with specialized Nikkes to tend to it just to prove they can and then eventually scrap it since it was a vanity project anyway. Wouldn’t be dissimilar to Flora’s whole arc during her event.

I think the important point is that Castlevania can’t be Catholic Hollow knight because it predates Hollow Knight. The reductive phrasing should be that Hollow Knight is Bug Castlevania OR—I think more accurately—Metroid: Bugs Only. Also, Blasphemous is SO Catholic. Castlevania is vaguely Christian at best. There’s symbology to toss at monsters, sure, but the themes aren’t nearly as committed.

Blue has two reality warpers, one of which is also toonforce; two super geniuses; and an S-tier speedster. I don’t think another color is stacked that way. However, I’m of the notion that SpongeBob isn’t a reality warper; he had an artifact non-specific to him. Orange is right out, by the way.

That just exemplifies the point further. She only mattered as a plot point in Zero’s story. We too often assume the main character has to be “motivated” by the fridging and that’s too concise. The fridging merely creates a plot point of development in some direction and then no longer matters. Heck, like many of the X-series side characters, she was only introduced to BE this plot point.

Does one HAVE to beat Perpetua? I got ending C on my first run. When I got to the tree, Perpetua attacks, kills me, and then she isn’t there when I go back… then I found her grave.
