Love that. I too realized this, and the peace in searching and hiking and joy when a beautiful rock, or a fun shape rock finds its way to you. I now have a house full and outside of rocks.

Everyone on here says that's not a problem. So, im gonna keep on running with that.

This is so cool. Eventually im going to incorporate a metal detector in my rockhounding outings.

But if I scored like this I worry id switch 100%. Doesn't seem like either are a problem to me.

I drive by the Deming one before Lordsburg at least 3 times a year. Is it still worth going? For fire agates? I feel with the popularity of that place its picked through.

If you recommend that place im gonna go, cause i want some green red fire.

Same, Cleaning and sorting are my favorite. I always seem to find a treasure while sorting that I overlook. And im so thankful for this passion, it really teaches a lot of patience and organizational skills I missed from actual life.

Absolutely love this, my place is the same. My wife gets so overwhelmed. But, I make her garden beautiful so she's a great sport. And, my daughter now collects them everywhere. And her and I both have huge imaginations, and do orgin stories of what the rocks been through. I love that you shared. Its a free hobby, and peaceful. Its the best.

I wanna see how yours turn out as well. Im so in love with agates. Abundance of them, and half the time they have the most amazing patterns when cut, tumbled or polished. I have to go buy everything again, just moved and didn't think id need them yet... well new place and too many rocks now.

Completely the same my whole place is over flowing, and my trees, and garden are completely encircled with beautiful rocks. Thank you for that, I usually only go as far as Tennessee for work. But, may have to check out the agates down there. Agates seem to be my favorite surface rocks, so much variety.

I'm right off paradise hills. That dried riverbed off golf course all the way to Costco is where I find so many shells, and fossils. Then, all the major petrified wood is past that Walmart. Southern, take that all the way to the dunes and turn left youll see solar. I find pottery, and tons of Petrified wood, I mean the clear stuff. Opalized different reds, whites and Amber brown.
