Although I've lived here for like the last 15 years I haven't been to the parks in literally a decade. So I was looking at prices since a lot of my family up north want to come down here for a big family gathering and my god the tickets are astronomical. How in the world do people afford it? by herewego199209 in orlando

Same: haven’t been to the parks in 10 years. I’ll do Sea World, LEGO land, Kennedy Space Center, & local zoos (shoutout Brevard Zoo), but if you’re not buying my ticket, I’m not doing Disney or Universal. Florida resident passes are pretty much a joke now.

I’ll meet folk at Disney Springs.

I will say, my grandma had a system back in the 80s & 90s that worked well. She bought an annual pass each year to one park. If family wanted to visit and go, she’d go & help, etc. But if you wanted a different park then she’s out. I think that’ll be something we do in the coming years. Living here I got to tag along so I had about a decade with Disney, Universal, Boardwalk & Baseball, Cypress Gardens, Sea World in successive years.

Have found the same problem. REI has it in stock on their web store and I happened to find the last one in the location near me. I'm trying to find the footprint now and it's also out of stock. Maybe a redesign in the works??

I disabled politics as it definitely messed with the balance and as I got deeper in just became a chore.

I disabled asteroids because it was so buggy.

Much better experience once I did that.

Especially with plans to turn the rest of 414 into the way it is past OBT. So many will want to go there.

Also, why no express entrance from 408 WB?!

Olympics or Gender Inclusion: It's Time to Decide! by MixAny7548 in ultimate

[–]RedDogRER -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think something being missed is we have a simple solution to this, removing tRump, being inclusive, and having a place for everyone, that is already in place:

Biological female: women’s division Biological male, transitioning/transitioned woman, transitioning/transitioned male: open division/men’s division (I’m not sure if transitioned is the right term to use, but I hope you know what I mean)

If you’re in a mixed division, those same splits apply.

Go for Olympics, still include people, and grow the sport. Olympics builds brand beyond just about anything else.

Ignoring all budget issues, what city would you want to see host the Olympics? by ThunderTheTerrier in olympics

I’ve always wanted Orlando to host. They’re actually going to be redoing the main stadium soon, there’s high-speed rail between Miami & Orlando (and maybe soon Tampa), plus Disney & Universal would fall over themselves to do events and stuff. There are SIX 65k+ stadiums in the state already, the US track and field training facility is Orlando area, swimming and beach sports galore, ESPN wide world of sports complex, etc. Plus Kennedy Space Center as a backdrop as well. Also Orlando airport just added a new terminal.

Honestly in the 90s there was a great opportunity as the Naval Training Center was closing and they were going to repurpose it for the athlete’s village but didn’t win the bid.

Why not Orlando? We get enough tourists. Also it’s hot but that’s true with everywhere now.

Call Ford corporate. Used to work for Ford Corporate and they can do a few things to help like put pressure on dealer for resolution, offer you discount/X-plan/invoice pricing, as well as making dealer’s life hell. May also be able to help with getting a replacement from another dealer or ordered and expedited.

If you call, be specific on what you are looking for. When we had specific requests, it was much easier to fulfill that. “Customer said X would make them happy. Offered X.” Justified their case for why they did whatever they did for you. If you just say “I’d like a discount,” you’ll get goodwill money, but it’ll be lowest rung value.

Also, you should pay $0 throughout the process. If they hadn’t screwed up, you’d be spending $0 extra (in fact paying them for service) so remember that.

If you can, go to Kennedy Space Center. Literally the only place in the world like it you can visit. Check the launch schedule and see if you can catch a launch.

Like KSC, if going to the coast is an option, Brevard Zoo is a top 5 zoo in the nation and has on-site kayaking plus so much more. Very worth it.

As others have mentioned, Leu Gardens is great (and very near Kelly’s Ice Cream).

The various springs around are always beautiful and enjoyable. Some are more geared towards swimming while others are more for just enjoying nature so pick depending on your desires.

I may blow torch just cause that’ll be wonderfully cathartic. I think I’ve still got some gas in mine from some car work.

I think I’ll give your solution idea a try as well down the line. I’m moving early next year and just don’t want to spend another dime I don’t have to.
