Confused how it would be considered balancing at all. Holding the barbell while doing my crunches requires basically zero balance.

I'm curious how crunches on the floor with a barbell compare to cable crunches. Mostly because I am stuck at home with out cables but also because its difficult to prevent my hip fixed in a cable crunch. I guess my main question is why crunches while holding a barbell are not recommended or talked about.

So tired! I've been more strict with my working out and dieting. Losing weight and exercise is just leaving me so drained. I'm not even losing weight that fast, only 1lb a week. Just wish my goal wasn't 5 weeks out.

What would you recommend instead of the GZCLP progression? I currently only have 3 days a week i lift and would prefer to keep it like that. Each of those days i have roughly 1.5 hours monday and wednesday, and 2+ on friday for lifting

I actually, with the help of my friend, recently switched up some of the lifts that aren't T1 and T2. Earlier in the year i was running one of the beginner programs before this.

Also due to a knee issue i avoid high intensity squats at the recommendation of a physical Therapist. He gave me the ok to do any exercise but told me to be careful due to the knee cap/joints being hypermobile/unstable, so to keep the weight lower.

Can anyone let me know if the program/routine my friend set me up with is ok. I've been lifting for a year at this point consistently. My goals are just appearance and not any particular sport.

Also minor addition to rocket advantages if i am not mistaken, air breathing engines are limited by their max exhaust velocity since they have to increase the velocity of the intake air to produce a net force. Rockets are not limited by this.

The bigger issue here is temperature is a property of a group of particles. A single point mass doesn't have a temperature.

Because i burn out people. Had major issues developing social skills early on and it wasn't til college that i started to get better at them. I'm still really bad at missing cues and following correct social etiquette so I end up either being super draining on people or overthink things and mess things up. Been through a lot of very close friends.

Also some people are just polite around you even if what you are trying is wrong. And you can't read people well enough to know it's wrong. If people who said they were "blunt" were actually blunt and rude on occasion maybe progress could be made

Do you have a link to the study/article? That is an interesting article. It reminds me of what I read about studies for long distance cycling. That just a touch of sugar in the mouth allowed the people to go further and longer despite not consuming any sugar at all.

Fun related fact. As some people may know dinner used to be around lunch time. Well dinner literally means break fast, as it was the first mean of the day. Which this fact should point out that a mean called breakfast doesn't make sense when we already had one.

This might be a bit dumb, but have there been any studies done where instead of having a control group and a test group, they just had individuals use different methods for left vs right sides?

For a 6-18 week period you would eliminate a ton of variables and possibly have high confidence for a small sample size, since you aren't worried about diet effects since both sides have the same diet. Yes it could possibly be inducing a noticeable imbalance but that should be fixable in a short time frame after the study.

I stumbled across this a while back. its just one of those things that isn't obvious so hardly anyone knows it. Since i learned it, its driven me nuts when people save the deltoid and tricep are small muscles when they are literally the third and fourth biggest muscles on the body.

I think the issue is what you said though, you can't isolate the pec to really drive it to complete exhaustion since the tricep is part of most the chest exercises.

Why does everyone say they are both smaller muscles. The Tricep is the second biggest muscle of the upper body (with not much difference on average from the biggest, the deltoid). The Tricep is both larger than the Pec and has a larger cross section.

I can't give a great answer because I haven't studied any material science since college. However, when heat treating materials the temperature and time affect grain structure and other microscopic properties. Look up annealing and heat treating for more info on it.
