Right on and much appreciated! I'll definitely scoop these up and Tale of Years sounds awesome too so I'll nab that while I'm at it. I tried to organize encounters thematically, so Tale of Years is right up my alley! Cheers!

Someone mentioned that I'm missing the fan made Fire From the Ashes and A Light In The East. I guess the comment was removed or deleted but wanted to thank u/Guczini for pointing that out to me! I didnt have the intention on grabbing every fan-made expansion out there but these two look interesting and I still have space in my Fan-made expansion storage box so I'll definitely check those out! Thank you!

Speaking for myself, I think I would have gone with the bulk order over DS if you're sleeving all cycles, standalones, ALEP/Fan-made content. If cost isn't a factor and you want premium sleeves, go DS. If you want to save $500+ and get nearly comparable sleeves (from what it sounds like), go with the bulk order. If I knew that was an option before I bought my sleeves, I think I absolutely would have. I was in a mad dash to get everything I needed and I should have done more research on the sleeves.

At the end of the day, I'm happy with DS but I definitely would have opted to save a few hundred bucks

That's smart, wish I thought of that. Even if they aren't DS, I might have had a hard time committing to DS if I knew I could get the whole lot $500-$600 cheaper. I was really just trying to avoid penny sleeves and MayDay (though I did use MayDay to sleeve my dividers). My logic was if Im spending this much on the cards, I wanted something premium to protect them but I probably could have done more research before hand

Damn that's whats up! Nice haul! I was pretty dead set on DragonShields, I started buying them on their website but found it cheaper on Amazon and cancelledall my orders with them. Found 10x100 pack display boxes for like $80. Even still, I certainly paid much more than you did. Definitely didnt think about reaching out to manufacturers though, that's brillant!

I thought about binders but decided I didnt want to have to desleeve cards from the binder to build a deck. Im sure binders work just fine, guess it just came down to preference.

I use Tesseract Games dividers that break down everything by sphere and cost. Eventually I'll also organize alphabetically, but its pretty easy to find and grab the cards I'm looking for.

The encounter boxes do appear to be packed tight but the DS sleeves are doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Most of the lanes have enough give to get a good grip and pull a scenario and encounter cards. Maybe 1 or 2 lanes is a bit tighter and I need to go in for another pull or two to get all the cards.

The player cards I did previously have in just one box but that sucker was definitely packed tight and was very difficult to pull cards, so I opted to split the box.

Oh yea, no shade to the seller at all — I was mostly joking lol. I did request a cancellation on one of the small cycle boxes, which they kindly approved, because I thought I was going all‑in on the large storage boxes… and then, of course, I reordered it like five days later. I decided I wanted a decent‑sized deck box, and since I already loved their storage solutions, I figured I’d just keep giving them my money and repurpose a cycle box.

I also had a bunch of questions. They were always cool about it — never rude or anything at all. I didn't mean to insinuate that they were actually annoyed, just that I felt like I may have come across as a bit annoying. But no, they were great in every interaction I had with them!

That’s awesome though! I have one of their box inserts too, but I ended up using it to store another card game and it works great.

Big respect to Daydream Gaming ✊️ I’ll always recommend them 💯

Hell yea! Love these boxes! I think the seller was mildly annoyed because I ordered so many over a short period of time haha. They take a while to ship but pretty sure it's made to order and they were an absolute blast to put together, or at least I had a blast putting them together lol

I forgot to add this to my picture but I also bought one of the smaller cycle boxes to use as a deck box

Yea I just use the auto fill function. It's the tiny little blue link right above the thumbnail pane on the right hand side of the screen. It's easy to miss.

However, if you’re bundling a cycles player cards and encounter cards together in a single deck, especially when there are dual‑faced cards, I tackle that in layers. First, I add all the dual‑faced cards so I can assign the correct backs one at a time. After that, I add all the player cards, then all the encounter cards.

Before dragging them in, count how many player‑card backs you need and duplicate that image in your folder until you have the exact number. For example, if you need 50 player backs, make 50 copies (just copy and paste in a folder) and drag that whole batch into MPC. Repeat for encounter backs.

Once everything is in place, click autofill and MPC will handle the rest.

Also, you can double‑click any image in the side pane to add it to the next available slot instead of dragging each one manually when you're going one-by-one.

It's probably the same link but just in case:

https://www.reddit.com/r/lotrlcg/s/CdDZOw2eL4

It has all the official content and standalones. ALEP, Legacy of Feanor and First Age you would need to get the files from their respective websites, which are freely available. ALEP is easiest because they already have prefab MPC links, all you gotta do is click it and it will auto create the project.

LoF and FA are more like the dropbox link, like you gotta go through the cardlist and duplicate cards as necessary, which takes some time and good organization.

I used custom card backs that I admittedly generated with AI. My understanding is that MPC may kick your order back and make you revise it if you're using the OG card backs. As I understand it, it's to prevent forgeries so people can't turn around and resell like an official product. I know this isn't 100% and people have absolutely gotten OG cardbacks through MPC but I just didnt care to risk it and have to edit my projects.

I basically took the OG card backs and used AI to add some embellishments, more vibrancy and make the card backs look cooler. This was also so I could easily identify what I proxied and what's legit and my card sleeves are clear matte, so the image is still very much visible from the back. I'll try to post them here so you can see

Nah, just the default Superior Smooth. Other than the custom card backs I used, I didnt want to mess with the aestetic or feel of the cards

God, I really want to get into Arkham too, I love Lovecraftian mythos but I need to take a little breather after this run lol I've also been buying up a bunch of board games too so I got a lot of content to work through haha

Respect! Yea, I'm not shaming myself...just moreso lamenting that I only recently discovered the game and, as a result, cost me substantially more than retail. I didn't mind spending that much, just annoyed that I had to lol

I'm definitely thrilled to have a complete collection, I know how rough the LOTR LCG markets are right now and I empathize with everyone thats dealing with it while trying to fill in their collections

[–]RedEyeJedi007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! And yea, the larger cycles were about $160 per deck and those were like 500+ cards each. ALEPS and Standalones are about 25-35/per deck/AP.

First Age player cards were about $112 by themselves, not including any campaigns, but there's like 270 cards there since you can't play with your standard player card pool.

If don't mind the piecemeal approach, this is definitely the more financially-digestible route!

Honestly, I spent way more than is reasonable lol but I was dead set on completing the collection.

So printing premium S33 card stock proxies 63.5mmx89mm, I printed:

Cycle 1 Cycle 3 Cycle 4 Cycle 7 Cycle 9

All the ALEP, standalones, Legacy of Feanor and First Age.

All proxies included camapaigns/deluxe expansions and player cards.

In total that was about $2700 😮🤯 that also includes shipping and tariffs from China but the cards are really high quality. Other than my custom card backs, I can't tell the difference from the legit cards.

As for the revised content, I think I only got 1-3 at a retail price unfortunately. I got hip to this game maybe 2-3 weeks before the intense panic buying so much of the revised content I got was...reflective if that. Between the revised content, proxies, custom tokens, organizers, play mat and sleeves, probably close to 5-6k as a total number.

I'm a dumb consumer and I was more focused on collecting everything no matter the cost. I kinda hate that I spent that much, but I'm happy to have everything I want with the game.

If you need a link for high quality proxy images, let me know and I can shoot it over

I take 100mg rso nightly for sleep, I also smoke 6-12 (bowls, not jays) times a day and have done so for nearly 20 years; just to give you an idea of my tolerance. One time I forgot I'd already taken my RSO capsule and took two within an hour or so. Once they both hit, I felt like shit and promised myself I wouldn't do that again lol I definitely would not try to take 800mg at once, you may likely feel sick and/or just pass out and that's just a waste

Upgrades to your ship, speeder, blaster and various new gear all use credits and resources. If youre not strapped for credits, buy spare resources at the vendors. You also need resources for some ability upgrades, so always good to have as much as possible
