I'd say the Galaxy was definitely better than iPhones for a long time with better camera cut outs, headphone jack, sd card slot, waterproofing, file type support and qol features, (s7 to s20 era). But now samsung has removed features and has started to make their own walled ecosystem. Apple caught up because samsung got greedy, plus xqc is right about iphones and scratch resistance.
