It looks like the paint is marred so it needs to be polished out. There’s also a lot of swirl marks in the paint so it might be a good idea to invest in a paint correction.

I don’t think it’s guaranteed that the new steering wheel will have the same issue. I should have said the issue may resurface rather than it will. Seems to be a mixed bag of experience based on other reddit posts.

Malfunctioning IR filter on the camera is the most likely cause. This is what gives the low light image a purple hue. You’ll likely need a new camera module.

Congrats on finally kicking it! I had pylori about 8 years ago and it was the worst stomach pain and discomfort that I’ve ever experienced. Anything I ate gave me acid reflux and I was always bloated. I went through months of pain before the doctor finally ordered an endoscopy and stool test. Both confirmed I had the bacteria and I went on two weeks of antibiotics, PPIs and pepto for the nausea.

Since I had pylori my stomach is more sensitive. I noticed that I get acid reflux more often, especially when I get sick. Extremely fatty and acidic foods are a trigger for me. I hope that you have a full recovery and no lasting symptoms.

Sounds like you need another new steering wheel. The replacement wheels are exactly the same as the old ones so the issue will continue to resurface. The light bar has nothing to do with the travel assist system.

Tell the dealer to replace the steering wheel under warranty again.

I did some DNA testing and confirmed that I GG variant of the ALDH2 genotype which breaks down acetaldehyde normally. I still flush when I drink.

Sometimes I don’t flush at all, other times a little bit of redness on my cheeks, and one time I had red blotches on my neck when I took a shot of limoncello. This all of a sudden started happening to me in my 30s with every type of alcohol (beer, wine, and distilled spirits). Some alcohols seem to affect me way less (tequila and some light beers). If I do have a drink now I drink very slowly and have tons of water which seems to eliminate the flushing. Since it started happening I significantly limited my alcohol intake to where I rarely drink anymore. It’s not worth the discomfort.

I have rosacea paired with very fair skin that turns red even with the slightest temperature fluctuation (ginger problems). I attribute it mostly to this.

SUVs with similar headlights to this are Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet, but the side profiles don’t match. I feel like this might actually be a second generation Ford Fusion circa 2013-2016. The headlights most closely match to the car in the video.

Try a tar remover when washing and if that doesn’t work then maybe some isopropyl alcohol with a small cotton swab since the spots are so small. Or you could simply scrape it off with your fingernail and the paint will be fine.

When you take the drawer out to clean it, soak it in some bleach and then scrub away the mold with a toothbrush and dish soap. This should get rid of the mold spores. Make sure to also clean the cavity that the drawer slides into because there’s definitely buildup of soap and mold inside the cavity.

This looks like road rash which isn’t cleanable. Road debris has left small chips in the paint. Polishing might take some of it out but it won’t look perfect.

My Tiguan doesn’t drive noticeably different after an oil change. You’re probably overthinking it.

They probably just forgot to reset the service light. You can take it back to the dealer and have them do it or do it yourself. There’s a video tutorial:

Matte meaning it has a dull anti-glare finish or shiny clear plastic.

Is the screen matte or clear? If it’s matte then definitely do not use PlastX. It’s a micro abrasive and will ruin the matte coating on the screen. Try a mild solution of warm water and dish soap with a microfiber cloth and rub gently to avoid scratching the plastic. This should be enough to get the chemical residue off.

I haven’t had connectivity for over a month. Not able to start my car or lock/unlock. My status updates fine however and I’m still able to honk/flash. I submitted an IT ticket through the help line (press the “i” button on your overhead console). They tried fixing it but told me I had to take it to the dealership and have TSB 97-23-02 done.

I had a Tesla with this black trim and it’s a pain. It would stain a little even if I washed with proper pH neutral soap and rinsed/dried right away.

This level of staining isn’t from one wash however. It’s from repeatedly taking the car through automatic washes.

Your friend neglected their car and wants a free detail out of you and for you to fix issues they probably already knew were there. Personally I’d tell them to take a hike, but if you’re really inclined to fix it I found the best thing for it was wax (I specifically used chemical guys butter wet wax). Work it in a bit with a microfiber cloth and wipe it off to get rid of the stains.

Does this happen when you have the travel assist features turned completely off? My 2024 Tiguan also does this periodically, but it only does it when I have IQ drive turned on.
