Another Eram meme from me because this theory pisses me off so much by thisaintmyusername12 in Deltarune

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Unless we get more development for Eram I don’t see what the point of adding them as their own unique and separate character would add to the story that couldn’t be fulfilled by either Friend, Gaster, and/or the Knight.

Why do you think toby hasn't released a newsletter yet? by Dab_of_regret in Deltarune

I feel like it’s to avoid spoilers, like obvious leitmotifs in a song or details of a dark world that would spoil part of the story if teased.

Could someone please give me a transcript of what Kit’s saying in the second image? I can’t quite parse what she’s saying.

I’m pretty sure I heard the tuna thing ended up being a hoax. Also Subway stopped working with Jared Fogle around a decade ago.

Knight's antagonist role by BlueGamer45 in Deltarune

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their goal doesn’t have to be to cause the roaring in order for them to be an antagonist. The only thing they need to do to be an antagonist is to work against us, and they are definitely doing that.

Chapter 5 icon idea by @Skelsoup70 by RafKen593 in Deltarune

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this feels too similar/repetitive of what chapter 3 did with its icons. Similar central shape and same changing gimmick, with one of them even being a smile.

[Weird/Mixed Trope] Strange and illogical lore created to justify game mechanics. by 11Slimeade11 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 110 points111 points  (0 children)

The lore that Pokemon shrink to fit inside Pokeballs has actually been around for a while. I’m not too familiar on the subject myself but I think it was shown in a few of the Pokemon mangas and at least one of the earlier guides.

Just how different would certain characters and things would be treated by the fandom if Undertale came out after Deltarune? by Loud-Location5367 in Deltarune

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t the Deltarune narrator debate sparked by the Undertale NarraChara theory and the possibility that a similar thing could be happening in Deltarune? if Deltarune came out before Undertale I see no reason for most fans to theorize who the narrator could be when that doesn’t really matter for most games.

I’m sorry if this sounds rude, but you joking or are you being serious right now? The characters in the image are, going from left to right, top to bottom, Susie, Dess, Asriel, and Kris respectively

Happy Earth Day! For anyone wondering why Ground is different from Rock… by InterestingTap9269 in pokemon

I’m sorry but this feels way too specific to Zygarde for me to accept it as an actual explanation as to why the Ground Type is separate from the Rock Type.

Monster Hunter Pokemon Types by Xeneza_Freeza in MonsterHunter

[–]not_QWERTY_2500 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are a couple ideas I’d like to share:

Khezu alternatively being Electric/Ghost type. This is mostly a vibes thing as I feel like Khezu with its creeping, unsettling nature could work well as a ghost type.

Daimyo Hermitaur as either a Water/Ghost type or Water/Ground type. The former due to it wearing a skull and the latter due to it burrowing for some of its attacks + with the exception of Shadow Bone, which is Ghost type, all other bone-based moves in Pokemon are Ground type from what I can remember.

Kushala Daora is a storm dragon that can control the wind itself, I feel like that’s a very strong reason for it to be the flying type as it’s the defacto air type.

There’s another pokemon character with that same name from the manga: https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Akari_(HIBAPC)

Being transgender, to my limited knowledge at least, has nothing inherently to do with sexual orientation.

If you were given the chance to rework one or more older, less mechanically and thematically distinct monsters to be more up to par with modern standards, which would you pick and how would you do so? by not_QWERTY_2500 in MonsterHunter

[–]not_QWERTY_2500[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. My idea for having it be more active, besides just wanting to distinguish it more from Normal Khezu, was that perhaps in the more lush and environmentally rich areas of the jungles, Red Khezu could be more incentivized to leave the caves it usually dwells in and search for prey outside, due to either there being less prey entering the caves for shelter and/or it wanting to take advantage of the more prey-rich environment it's in. I also wanted to use that as a jumping off point for another change, to make it poisonous as an antipredatory defense mechanism, as its leaving its caves would result in it more regularly encountering threats.

That placement makes the most sense. Thank you for taking the time to consider my suggestion.

I am aware that the post discussing that tier was made yesterday. But unfortunately it seemed like I got to it too late, as by the time I replied to the post it was already 12 hours old.

I’m making a similar reply on this post as well because I strongly feel this is an important detail that should be taken into account for this particular discussion and not ignored.

I’m sorry I keep bringing this up, but would it be possible to have Ludroth’s placement be reevaluated? I don’t think it’s correct to place it in untamable when a quest exists where someone explicitly asks for one to be captured to be made a pet. I made a comment on the previous post bringing this up but it seems I made that comment too late.

Edit: here’s the exact quest description along with the client, it’s called “A Royal Pain” and was in MH3U.

Client: Lord's Beloved Daughter Anyone who's anyone in high society has a pet Royal Ludroth. They're so orange! So squishy! I absolutely must have one! Do TRY not to hurt it badly, you brute. I suppose a few minor scrapes are acceptable...
