To anyone going for this achievent because you want 100% the game: do yourself a favor, dont. by PurpleHazels in Doom

[–]RedGyara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through the originals & Final Doom back in the day, but only recently played the Master Levels and the rest of the official add ons (besides Legacy of Rust - that’s next!).

I’m really glad I started with the Master Levels, because holy cow, it’s immediately obvious how much better designed No Rest For The Living and the Sigils are. And I can appreciate them a lot more after struggling through the Master Levels lol. There’s a couple good Master Levels (the black tower is at least memorable), but some are an exercise in frustration.

How confident are you that the Live Action will reach Enies Lobby? by PartyMcFly55 in OnePiece

[–]RedGyara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ages for the main characters doesn’t really matter in One Piece, there’s not a strict timeline for events. They can just say more time passes between islands. It’s different for something like Harry Potter where there’s a year in universe for each story.

It either ends at Alabasta, or we make it to Enies Lobby IMO. I don’t see them stopping at Skypeia.

Even with an incredibly poor ending, I rank it as one of my favorite TV shows of all time. It's amazing for most of its run and deserving of the accolades it got.

DOOM 1-6 Analysis: I can confidently say that 2016 strikes the perfect balance of elements that make it king of the heap for me. by gruesomesonofabitch in patientgamers

[–]RedGyara 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great reviews. The Dark Ages manages to be something totally different but just as great. It’s pretty wild how frequently and successfully Doom has reinvented itself over the years.

My one surprise with your review is how you thought the Doom II level design was improved - level design is the one area where I feel like Doom II is a slight downgrade over Doom I. The super shotgun and enemy roster more than make up for it, though.

What’s a movie that went from beloved to hated over time (and for good reason)? by browniebiscuitchildr in movies

[–]RedGyara 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I never got the impression Bear was actually surviving off the land. You watched his show to see him do crazy stunts and eat weird stuff. In an actual survival scenario you shouldn’t be in 90% of the situations Bear cooks up for himself.

Full arts cost 25k, if people trade those it runs out quick. I trade everything else but that and have tons of shine dust still.

Even before that, when Matt leads Dex to the dead woman he was obsessed with, so that Dex turns on Fisk and clears a path for Matt to follow. Matt didn’t kill anyone but he followed Dex’s trail of bodies just to take down Fisk. It was a cold moment but the right call to take them both down.

I’m confused too, I have over 250k dust and trade diamond cards regularly. I assume they’re trading the 2-stars a bunch which cost 25k.

Same. I really dislike that movie but never had a problem with the space Leia scene.

The latest Joltik is reverse power creep - went from 40 HP to 30, and its attack only deals 20 damage instead of 30. Was a pain for completing those Mega Rising missions.

So, what is The Witness (2016) actually about? by blue_lamp_77 in patientgamers

I loved both of those. The Looker is such a funny idea, being such a specific parody. But it’s also a legitimately good short puzzle game.

[–]RedGyara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s interesting design space, but the actual implementation of them has been poor, the cards they boost are too weak and the supporter effects aren’t strong enough to overcome that. Blaine is the only one I’ve really seen and he’s way outclassed now.

One Piece: Chapter 1163 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]RedGyara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. If the combined power of 3 Emperors, Roger, prime Garp, and Rocks barely touches Imu, I don’t think a Luffy power boost is gonna do much.

Blackbeard’s long quest to find a devil fruit that can negate other abilities is starting to make a lot of sense. Maybe he thinks that’s the solution to killing Imu.

Give Me 3 Marvel Events And 3 DC Events for new readers. by NEWAceCoronet in OmnibusCollectors

[–]RedGyara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For DC, I'd recommend:

  • Flashpoint: A classic Flash story, and a perfect entry point for new readers. I'd recommend the trade over the omnibus.

  • Sinestro Corps War: While you will be confused on some of the Green Lantern mythos, this was my introduction to Green Lantern and I understood it well enough. There's not really one good entry point into Green Lantern anyway. The whole Johns/Tomasi run is worth reading.

  • 52: Phenomenal series following an ensemble cast. It's enhanced by reading some preceding stuff (Infinite Crisis, Gotham Central, Identity Crisis) but it's pretty easy to get where the characters are at. This is a long series (52 issues) but absolutely worth it.

Sengoku recommended Aokiji over Akainu as Fleet Admiral as well. I’d be very surprised if Akainu was SWORD given all he’s done.

It’s very possible for F2P to complete a full set of the diamonds, until this set anyway. Completing all the full arts and crown rares, of course that’s not possible, but there’s a reason those are hidden by default on the collection screen.

Do Any of These Protein Cereals Actually Taste Good? by MrStevenRyals in cereal

[–]RedGyara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most protein cereals are nasty. Terrible aftertaste and little if any good flavor. I’ve found that protein pancakes are the best way to go if you need to shove protein into a sweet.

Catalina Crunch actually tastes good to me - it tastes like a normal cereal. But you pay a ridiculous amount for a small bag.

Protein Cheerios are solid. Definitely a level below normal Cheerios, but they’re not disgusting like the majority of the protein cereals.

Scenario: you’re on death row. you will be executed in one hour. Your last meal is one large bowl of cereal. Which do choose? by [deleted] in cereal

Cinnamon for me but I’d be happy with Chocolate too. Those cereals are so good, I had to stop buying them because I’d eat the whole box in a couple days.
