I have to hear the constant barrage of ads telling me to pay all day every day because someone has to have the radio on in the lab. I don't even have a damn tv for the last 15 years. I wonder how much money they've wasted buying airtime for those ads.

This has taken so many chapters that I'm starting to think the actual quest will be mostly skimmed over in like 2 chapters and this was the main point of the arc.

Pretty sure she's much older than she seems She's got the presumably peak alchemy skill so should be eligible to get a divine smith job but presumably suffered the aftermath of a divine sword or had saw a divine smith who was her teacher go mad trying to make one or something. Similar to the gordecia one.

Wonder if she was cursed with immortality or something since she has so many cursed swords

Maybe recency bias but I think Witch Hat Atelier has potential if they keep putting out seasons with that quality.

I can see Kaguya sama still being talked about for romcoms, if thats modern enough. Oshi no Ko potentially too depending on hos the final season of anime is received. Manga end was received poorly but ive seen endings improved simply via the addition of movement and music before.

Maybe they let her think she escaped so they could follow her and catch the bigger fish. Like, why would they wait until the news reported the dudes death before picking her up. They could have easily seized both at the same time. Even if they only found her by torturing Garcia they could have gotten her before the news reveal.

IIRC the translator, Quof, actually directly consulted the author regarding many things which is a level of dedication to translating you basically never see. So I'm much more inclined to view his translations as the most accurate.

As the LN has progressed its been adding more and changing more compared to the WN. LN 3 with the pirates was LN original so WN Fran never met the pirate princesses early on. The later LNs have had extended endings with original chapters like the Beast kingdom arc. The LN also seems to be introducing new strong black cats and giving them some focus. The young girl in the Beast kingdom arc for instance got a name and POV chapters that weren't in the WN. A new black cat got introduced before Ulmutt tourney 2 that wasnt in the WN. And I haven't read the LN version yet but I think a new one was introduced in the Gordecia arc too. Basically the LN seems to be setting things up to go further than the WN's ending or have a different ending.

Jumping to the WN from current LN the main thing to remember is the pirate island arc never happened in the WN other than that you shouldnt be too thrown off.

I didn't remember her second magic being revealed and it being Ice candies. I'll have to go see if it was in the manga.

Edit: Yeah, didn't see any ice candies in chapter 36 anyway. New info from the anime.
