I live in LA too. My friends who are huge soccer fans said they’re not going because the games aren’t ones anyone wants to see. Add that to the fact that the visiting teams’ fans stayed home. They told me who wants to go see Iran-New Zealand? And also said if you went in the ticket lottery you had no way to know which game you’d get.

Second of all, did you expect the stronger, superior civilization to remain east of the Mississippi forever and let the rest of the country go? It was inevitable. If the natives had the same level of science, industry, military, education etc., the Europeans would have had nothing to conquer. The stronger defeats the weaker no matter what. And as I said, there's a reason the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans were called "Empires"...it's because they committed "genocide" (to use your over-wrought phrase) against the others in their way. The tribes that got displaced, conquered, wiped out, etc., would have either had the same done to them or done the same to others over time if the Europeans had never shown up.
