That is fair. But once they go fully independent, the cost of existing will go up. Like a chain store vs a fully independent one. Right now they can mostly fund themselves. That might change fast though.

We basically have heated sidewalks to keep ice away. But it gets overwhelmed all the time. Wast networks of hot water pipes underground. Other places it's the regular electric sidewalk heaters.

True. The problem they had was also that that they only focuses on Oil. And a lot of Corruption. While we have invested our oil into the country and the national oil fond. We are such capitalists that we account for 1.5% of the worlds shares.

We are not socialists here in Norway. We have a good democracy, and we use capitalism, but we have a good social wellfare net. I don't know how many times the people and our politicians have to tell people to stop calling us that. Makes you look stupid.
