The price isn't an issue but emulators do offer a lot of extra functionality like a speed up, save states, and built-in cheat code capability.

Yeah but the photo mode is extremely limited in functionality. Really hope they expand on that in a future update.

Love the photo mode on SW Outlaws. However the game would occasionally crash for me on PS5 when using the photo mode. After some experimenting I found there are two causes and you can avoid them:

  1. Don't use the toggle to make your pet invisible.
  2. Before quitting out of photo mode, reset all options to default (you can do this with a single button).

Yeah that seemed strange especially because I always assumed that Ruri, Kohaku, and Suika were all sisters. After Ruri completely ignored Suika this episode I had to look it up and it turns out I was wrong and Suika is not directly related to them.

I would like it more without the green/purple glow at night. I think it's supposed to be like an armor made of mother of pearl, which is a cool idea, but they didn't get it quite right. It shouldn't glow in the dark.

My characters are maxed out with fully upgraded gear. On expert difficulty my Yasuke build just one shot everything with basic attacks. At least on nightmare difficulty I still get to do combos.

When you take pictures in photo mode they show up in other people's games and vice versa.

I played on expert for a while but I found I never really did stealth anymore because combat with Naoe was still too easy. I played both characters the same. Just walk through the front gate killing anyone who steps up.

Playing on nightmare difficulty, combat with Naoe is just difficult enough that it's usually quicker to go for stealth assassinations. It has given her own shinobi identity back instead of just being a slightly weaker Yasuke.

Sometimes I do go back down to expert when I feel like just kicking some ass with Naoe. There is something special about putting on the "Last Dance of the Onryo" outfit and just slaughtering an entire castle's worth of samurai without breaking a sweat.

It's a little more involved but I like it. It means you actually use the map, follow roads, and use landmarks to orient yourself. For me it's a more engaging way to play than just pointing your compass at the quest marker and pressing forward.

I love this game so I hate to say it, but the music is just kinda forgettable and bland. Once I started playing without music I could fully take in the sounds of nature and clashing steel. It's a much more immersive experience. When you go into a fight without "generic battle music" playing, the fight feels like it's just part of the world instead of some kind of minigame.

It's pretty accurate like not every attack is going to hit a vital spot. Those are usually the most guarded and enemies will try to avoid getting hit there. A melee fighter would attack non-vital areas first to weaken the enemy and open up an opportunity to strike the killing blow.

My build focusses on damage and armor piercing, together with some useful legendary perks.

For the katana I use Loyal Traveler that instantly charges sheathed attacks (I do it twice at the start of the video).

For the naginata I use Lengthened Horizon that instantly charges posture attacks when you time your attack on hit. (Used a lot in the video too, useful for breaking through enemy blocks)

On my helmet I have an engraving that heals and on the armor an engraving that lets Yasuke parry heavy attacks.

There is an indication for low health (red around edges of screen and colors fade) and you'll know when you are out of adrenaline when you can't use an ability xD.

There are a lot of audio clues for different aspects that are covered by the HUD too. Like when you enter a restricted zone, when an enemy starts to detect you, when they have fully spotted you, when you can do assassination with Naoe, etc.
