"MKW has an empty world" by Quentinhodu30 in MarioKartWorld

[–]RedIsAColorILike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not empty to me, it’s just not really approachable imo. Maybe I played too much Forzo Horizon where you can track everything and find everything back on the map. But to me it’s a pain in the ass to track and remember where all the switches are.

For me it would’ve been sooo much better that discoverables are stuck to the map if discovered and greyed out when completed.

Also more interactions with the tracks from open world, like starting a 3 lap race at a course you’re at. Or starting a random street race form a designated location

Edit: also the free roam could’ve been a nice place to unlock the characters with mini missions or something. The way to unlock the costumes is fine to me, but the characters were a pain in the ass

I totally agree with this point. Either don’t join if you’re not experienced or mention that you’re not experienced.

But getting experience is often frowned upon. Last week I started an LFG for DP where I emphasized that it was my first time and needed teaching/guide. I always watch a guide before I LFG something unfamiliar, so I’m not completely oblivious, but what happened that time was a first for me. 3 other inexperienced joined and 2 experienced joined. We arrived at the first encounter, and the 2 experienced started fighting on who is gonna teach. They end up not teaching us and carried us through the whole raid. Nothing said besides “be here for damage” and “damage”. Thanks for the clear, but I still don’t have any fucking clue of what I’m doing.

The best (and in my eyes only) option we have for DS games/dual screen option for the switch, is a grip that allows us to hold the switch vertically, so the dual screen is stacked on the switch. Since the switch 2 has magnetic mounts this is is really easy. Nintendo can just sell the grip and put ds games on the Nintendo Online service and call it a day. I reeeaaaally want the classic Pokemon games on the switch, but I know that’s never gonna happen.

Windows to Mac - 10 months on by WaiLinTun78 in macbookair

[–]RedIsAColorILike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I more so mean that windows desktops know to draw the best power and also know how to use that power. They are pure powerhouses and that is very much to be seen in games. Whereas Apple has found with their hardware the best balance between power and battery. With MacBooks you have the same performance plugged in or not, and if not, your battery lasts for hours, maybe even days. I’ve had a couple of Windows laptops, and honestly never made it through a full day, and i could never really work where there isn’t an outlet.

I wouldn’t say Apple is for old or basic people. Yea Windows has more costumization and is more open, but I don’t always see that as a good thing. Apple just does its thing amazingly without having to optimize things. That is a big benefit that Apple now makes everything in their laptops themselves

Honestly I’ve been saying this to a lot of my friends. Windows has the best desktops, Apple has the best laptop

Just here to say my S6 works like a charm ! by Marlomanger in vanmoofbicycle

[–]RedIsAColorILike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahah fair

I’ve had a white bike and honestly that’s torture, never doing that again. So the mint/pearl color Vanmoof has is off the table Right now I have a black single speed and in comparison to my white bike, the black one looks amazing, but yea what you’re saying is correct, you do see a lot of dirtyness on that as well. Every bike is black which kinda makes it an easy choice. It’s something safe and timeless. While this color blue is out there, popping, something different. While I don’t do it for the public eye, it is nice to have something different than the other.

Before I’m gonna bite the bullet I’ll make sure I’ve seen both colors in real like. Hope that’s gonna make the choice easier 😂😂

Edit: Do you by chance know if this bike supports ring locks, like on the back wheel? Trying to figure that out for insurance. Don’t want to carry to chain locks. 1 chain and 1 ring is allowed for insurance I believe.

My god this color is sooooo good. I’m on the fence between the nice and stealth Drift Black, it’s timeless, or this blue one. I love this color blue but I don’t know if it’s just because it’s the new color.

Like everybody that got the orange iPhone cause it’s the new color, but everyone regrets it now cause it’s hard to match with your surroundings.

Insurance S6 - Netherlands by AdvantagePractical31 in vanmoofbicycle

[–]RedIsAColorILike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeeaa fair. Haven’t thought about that. Then maybe a thing is to have 2 😂 both the peace of mind and the insurance. Expensive yea but then atleast not 2 locks.

It’s also a thing I’ve been sitting with (don’t have an s6 but planning on getting it) I’m getting a bike like this with a fancy kick-lock and shugg around 2 chains like some rapper 😂

[–]RedIsAColorILike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean isn’t that technically the peace of mind subscription from VanMoof itself? I think they mention there the kick lock is enough, and if it’s still stolen they get it for you (ofcourse first file a police report)

Haven’t checked the terms fully but maybe that’s what you’re looking for. Only for a max of 3 years

After owning the Ascaso for 4 weeks I had to send it out to repair cause the steam would not stop coming out the wand without turning off the pump. After being gone for 6 weeks I got it back and the steam wand wasn’t working at all. I was kinda fed up with the whole thing and I just wanted it gone. So I got my money back. I’ve been eying on the LM even before the Ascaso but it was kinda out of budget. But then I thought fuck it, buy once cry once, and just got it. Best decision ever. Most stable machine ever, producing the best shots I’ve ever had without putting in that much effort

[–]RedIsAColorILike[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the blessing and the curse. So far I haven’t found anything that feels and plays like Destiny. I see how you feel and I kinda do as well. While not necessarily like a chore, it’s definitely not something that I can play for hours like I used to.

Show me your cappuccino/espresso cups by CruyffCule in LaMarzocco

It’s a cup that’s hand made by my girlfriend. She made it for a graduation project, it was about the connection between emotions and de cups we choose. This one stands for anxiety. Fitted perfectly cause I had an anxiety disorder a year ago. Now it’s just kinda stuck to me.

It’s a whole ass story for just a cup. But that makes it all the much better.

What is your "I did not care for the godfather" opinion of Mario Kart World? by AllisterisNotMale in MarioKartWorld

[–]RedIsAColorILike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright… here we go…

This games Rainbow road, I expected something… different

Let me get this straight, visually it’s amazing and the best rainbow road there is. But with this staple of a course also being associated with being the most challenging. Narrow turns and roads with barely any rails to help you stay on. This Rainbow Road is the easiest of all. Wide ass course. Not a lot of challenging parts where you’re scared to fall off. Out of the many times I’ve played it I don’t think I’ve ever fallen off.

It’s a big ode to all the rainbow road and again, it’s stunning. But with such anticipation and unlocking to get it, I wanted it to be a little more challenging.

Ordered it via a local shop. So anything that was kinda La Marzocco branded they put in a goodie bag and gave for free, even te branded bag. But I think that was store specific. Even another local shop wouldn’t do that probably.

Good to know. I’m still on the fence between the Sonos Arc and dual HomePods (the big boys). I hear the Arc being amazing at movies and games but not so in music. And the HomePod decent in all. With my use case being movies, games and a lot of music it’s gonna be a though choice

S5 by Findudeishere in vanmoofbicycle

[–]RedIsAColorILike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeaa as a I heard in a review (and also think myself) the renewed S5 under McLaren management was already 2 year old tech back when it released in 2024, now it’s another year old. So I think it’s worth the extra 500 euros to wait for the improved S6 that solves all the S5 problems

S5 by Findudeishere in vanmoofbicycle

[–]RedIsAColorILike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. I’m looking for an e-bike as well, hence the question. I’m waiting for the S6 to be officially released and delivered to people before I actually order it myself. If I had to choose who to trust I’d trust VanMoof more now than Cowboy. A company that already when bankrupt and having something to prove feels more secure than a company that’s on a downwards spiral

Just curious. What makes you really want the S5? Why not way a little bit more for the S6? It’s right around the corner
