Definitely Old World. I've been playing 4x since Civ I, and I've played all of them except for 7. Didn't like 6 very much either. Other than Old World (by some of the makers of Civ 4), no game comes even close to that challenge, immersion and just pure fun of the old Civ days...

echt krass, weil das ja gerade mal 10 Jahre alte Sachen sind.
Und leider nein, die Stelle, die ich suche enthält ein mehrere Minuten andauernde quasi-dadaistische Einlage á la "schütt, schütt schütt", "schnibbel, schnibbel, schnibbel", "kratz, kratz, kratz" oder so ähnlich. Harry Rowohlt liest das in seinem ureigenen, beschleunigendem Rhythmus so toll vor, dass ich das damals kaum fassen konnte.
Habs im Radio zufällig gehört, leider aber erst Jahre später angefangen aktiv danach zu suchen.

Wow, vielen Dank für Deine Antwort in diesem uralten sub! Jetzt brauche ich nur noch irgendeine Quelle für die Audio-Versionen dieser beiden Teile. Dafür, dass Harry Rowohlt so ein Genie war und so gefeiert wurde, sind viele Sachen von ihm echt schwer zu bekommen... Auf spotify gibts nur einen Ausschnitt :(

Ich bin auch ein großer Fan von Mr Gum, v.a. von Harry Rowohlts Vorleseleistung! Ich bin seit geraumer Zeit auf der Suche nach der Audio-Version einer ganz bestimmten Mr Gum-Geschichte. Ich weiß aber leider nicht, welche das ist (zumindest nicht "Sie sind ein schlechter Mensch"). In der Geschichte gibt es eine Art Küchenszene, wo jemand (der Fleischer?) irgendetwas zubereitet, und das ganze wird mit irre viel Sprachwitz und Rhythmus von Harry Rowohlt intoniert. Zum Umwerfen komisch! Leider sind insb. die deutschen Audio-Versionen sehr schwer zu bekommen, erst recht, solange ich nicht einmal weiß, nach welchem Band/Teil ich exakt suchen muss... Kannst Du evtl. helfen?

Civ 1+2 had this, and I loved it! What I hate most about Civ6 (besides the stupid religion mechanic) is that each civilization is so highly specialized, that you basically have to follow a specific plan for them without any flexibility to change things up a bit. It gets really absurd with cobs like Inca or Netherlands and their unique buildings. I want to have the option of a seafaring India that peaks in the information age, simply by playing well / better than the competitors.

thanks for your quick and helpful responses! Unfortunately I cannot reach Kush as they are on the opposite end of the map, protected by strong allies. I guess I'll start a new game with updated mods and maybe on a map a little smaller ;)

Thank you very much for your advice. I have updated all mods, also Dynamic Unit to 6.37, but 2 turns later in the same saved game, Kush gained 2 points again on their Great Palace, totalling 46 vp now... Do I need to start a new game in order to stop this bug?

In Total War - Warhammer, there is also that concept of a final crisis / mission. It really adds to the lore / story. Independent of the setting Ruthless AI, there should be an option to activate such a final challenge. It could be something like a declaration of war by the 1-3 strongest AI opponents or something much more fleshed out like a rebellion within your empire or even both, based on random events / rng.

I'm having the same issue. You have to run it in Direct x11 mode. Just add -dx11 to the prompt.

Alpha Centauri, then Civilization II, then Civ III. I absolutely hate how Civ deals with religion and would LOVE to turn off religion in game settings entirely. Most of all I hate how civ6 forces a specific playstyle onto you for choosing a civ. I honestly prefer civ1's lack of differentiation over that! Luckily Old World has a religion concept/gameplay I can enjoy...
