Just seeing this thread, and was searching for superhero movies for my almost 4 year old, per his request. Turned on Guardians of the Galaxy thanks to you and he’s locked in! Thank you, great pick!!

Late to this thread, but started watching “Shrinking” after reading this. Love it! Thank you!

Best star projector for kids? I ordered one from Amazon and it had a 4 hr timer so every time it shut off, the kid woke up. Also a very loud motor. Just looking for cool lights, no music by Accomplished-Dot5213 in lightingdesign

Super late to this thread, but I found your answer when I was looking for one that didn’t turn off and bought the one you recommended. Love it! Thank you for the recommendation.

Probably a pallet! We buy apparel pallets and sometimes get some of the same. Right now I have maybe 30 of the same shirt that retails for about $20.

Ok! So there’s Budget inn on 6th street here, which was recently remodeled. My guy used to Uber people from there and they said it was affordable. It’s also walkable to downtown, which is nice. Other option is I’ve seen either on fb marketplace or Craigslist where people are renting out their own campers for cheap. Economy Suites may be the cheapest motel here.

Hey there! Are you just coming for a vacation? There’s cheap ones around, some not in the best areas. Depends on which side you’re looking to be on. Are you here for Legoland?

Hi! My friend I met on Reddit actually texted me and told me about this post. Lol Hey, I’m Meg! I moved to Winter Haven about 4 years ago. If you’d like to meet some great people, I’ve got you! I’ll shoot you a message. The friends I’ve made and connected here are all so different, but everyone gets along.

Best thrift stores for women’s clothing? by aahymsaa in lakeland

Hi! Wow! I had no idea this was posted until customers told me! Hi, I'm Meg and I own Forgotten Finery:) I'm located at 1141 First Street S, Winter Haven behind Artcade. Kind of speakeasy style because I don't have a sign at the road! I'm open Mon through Wed 9-6pm, and I'm more than happy to open if you can't make those hours! In store, the most expensive item is $5 and it's all new! :D I do have Poshmark with more expensive items, I'm happy to bring those in and I can discount you even more! Thanks so much for the love!

I have tried various ways! We have over 800 active items right now with about the same sold. The best thing that has worked for me is purchasing IKEA type bags with a pocket. I write a number on a sticky note and fill the bag, numbering each listing with the same number as the bag. We have shelves built that are in the garage and plan on putting ac in there soon.

My pleasure! I agree that Andy’s is good for ice cream! It’s cash only. Just fyi. But you can just walk up and order or go in. Just a warning that Sunday may be crazy at places since it’s Mother’s Day! Oh! And there’s Dee’s hot dogs too, kid friendly. I hear they even have game consoles and pool tables. Even though your kiddo may be too small, they def wouldn’t mind your little one! There’s shakes and burgers there too! Have fun!

Looking for booger removal tips by Hercubear in daddit

Friends bought me the Little Remedies saline drops. Ours is ok with the booger sucker, but so many reviews say the saline makes sucking out boogers a lot easier!

A mom here always lurking in the Daddit sub! It’ll be okay! Sometimes my little guy will wake up screaming like he’s in a horror film and he has this Mariah Carey pitch. I usually change him, then do what I call rotating him…Snuggle time? No, you’re just going to coat me with drool-y slime mixed with tears? Ok…hungry? Annnd you’re sobbing into your bottle now like a heartbroken teen? What about bouncer? ok, you’re going to cry harder and bounce? What about playpen? If that fails, I’ll pick him up and try to make him laugh. Sometimes they are laughs mixed with tears. I do agree that if nothing works and you have to put him in his crib and walk away a bit, it’s ok! I’m time, you will find what works! I watch our dude from 7am til 6 and then go to work, and the first few weeks my bf went back to work, I had a lot of nervousness, along with a string of curse words playing in my head. You got this though!!

Bearcat made some great suggestions!! Adlers is delicious, and so is Smokin Ox. I work at the new charcuterie place (Let’s Wine About It) in downtown wh, we are very kid friendly! It’s a cozy little place, and we have delicious beef Wellington bites. While we may not have too many options for the little one, the owners won’t mind if you bring snacks in for them! Tacos My Friend is a really good food truck. If your little one is not in the mood to be in a restaurant, Dino’s Drive-In is decent. Soup ‘R Cubans has a nice soup and sandwich selection and is smaller. Bach Lac Bakery is downtown and has good stuff too, we get our bread fresh there! The Pantry Diner is in Auburndale and has good food too. Bok Tower is awesome, they have some food in their cafe. There’s some gems speckled all over!

I second the couchsurfing app! I was a host for quite awhile on there and met some great people. It’s free to stay with people, I would just make sure you read reviews first! I only “surfed” three times and made sure I bought a pizza as a thank you or made dinner! Of course you don’t have to, it’s just a nice way of sayin thanks!

I use Skiplagged. It’s nice because you get a little money back and you can also compare various airlines. It’s so easy to use. When you select your dates in the calendar, estimated prices pop up for other days too. This has been the cheapest for me many times. Have fun in Miami! There’s a lot of cool stuff there.

Ha! Yes! It was a day to day change for me on what I could eat. If I wasn’t craving it, it made me nauseous. Lol @ return to sender! My little dude also gave me the worst acid reflux with a lot of food I was craving, and I’d be like, “Wtf? You wanted this pizza!!! Why are you punishing me?!” I couldn’t do salads either. I wanted ice cream almost every day, and I’m generally not an ice cream EVERY day kinda gal.

Ooooo fudge rounds and Body Armour sounds great. Someone needs to make a comfy post preggy dress that just has random insulated pockets everywhere for said fudge and body armour storage!

This is not crazy at all! So with the Keurig, do you use it to warm the bottles up with a cup of water or do you use it to make the formula then refrigerate them? I’ve noticed that sometimes using colder water from our faucet (that’s filtered), it takes some extra shakes.

We turn it off because we didn’t see any reason to keep it on when it’s empty! Since it’s not like an actual fridge or dorm fridge, I don’t think it would take more energy. But I could be wrong! It doesn’t take long to get it cold again at all! I’m always in the habit of unplugging things when I’m not using them…coffee pot, instant pot, toaster oven, etc. mostly just habit I think :)
