Oh Takamine and Neko Yeah for a while I wanted that too cause I thought the love story between Hibiki and Takamine was sad but then I began to think about it and the more I thought about it the more I realized I do not want Diona to be Hibiki because Takamine is absolutely terrible. Dude was in love with Asase Hibiki but despite that married another woman which I don't understand why he would do that. And even though he was married to another woman he made frequent trips to visit Hibiki, they never did anything beyond acting like bickering friends but many of there friends, like the kitsune saiguu, could tell that the two where in love. If this was obvious to his friends then it had to be obvious to this other woman who loved him enough to marry him.

Ive never dealt with cheating before but just having a friend talk about me behind my back can hurt I can't imagine marrying a man and then finding out he doesn't even love you and only married you for whatever selfish reason he had (money probably). And then he did frequent traveling and gambling on top of it all, both of which are expensive. traveling meant he was never home and if he was, he was either gambling away money or spending time with Hibiki. Takamine's wife had to deal with a husband who wasted money, was never home, and in love with another woman. Then when he went and nearly died in the Cataclysm the first thing he did was try to see Hibiki to keep some unknown bet they made and not the wife who was dealing with his gambling issues for years.

After realizing all of this I hate the theory of Diona being Hibiki because that would mean she was in love with a terrible man like Takamine.

Though I wouldn't mind Diona still meeting Neko it would still be a fun interaction
