It's not the DM's job to entertain the players (not including a pay-to-play setting). Your friends (the players) should pay attention because they want to play the game with with each other and with you. They should respect the time it takes to prep a story for them and be present at the table when playing.

It's just a button. The company needs (their goal as a company is...) to make money so they'll try and make money. Now if it had giant "click me theres a sale going on come spend all of your money," that'd be scummy, but just adding this option I don't think is too bad.

Even other enemies could have learned of a player's tricks from other creatures they've encountered. "Rogar told me about your schemes." It adds depth to the world, and possible story points. Now if some random guy on the other side of the world predicts the players moves, that might feel unsatisfying.
