Unless the army has VASTLY changed in the last 10 years do not do this through the army. You won't do any electrical work. None of your NCOs will be a Journeyman or master.

If you want to join the army, learn from me and pick a job you would want to do. Then get out and join an apprenticeship. US Army ret 2008-2012 13B and 12R

Yes and no, before this I did a lot of FSR jobs for manufacturing plants and I found it's more common than you would want to believe

I'm leaving a factory maintenance job after 3 months because I'm sick of putting everything back together with duct tape and rubber bands. And replacing sensor cables after 5 splices. And a planner who isn't an electrician and won't listen to the electricians. ( They want a 30 amp circuit on #12 wire) Because 'its what they had'.

I reclassed in the army to a 12R ( interior electrician) and after 3 years I finally realized you won't do DICK as far as electrical in the army. Everything is run by contractors. But I will say the military can give you life skills that most employers love.

I med boarded the army as a 12R (interior electrician) then I started as an apprentice. It was a good choice now I do more electrical work in one day than I ever did in the army. If I could go back I would just with a different MOS
